Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Belkin USB 2.0 4-Port Hub, WhiteCustomer Review: Basically Goof Proof Summary: 5 Stars
Bought one of these when I got my webcam last year and I have to agree with the other reviewers that this unit really is well designed. Nice weighted base makes it stay in place, and the rear two ports keep my webcam and scanner running while the top two ports handle my flash drive and an iPod connection. Unit is powered and the attached cable minder keeps another cable (or cables)close by. The unit has given me no problems in the nearly year that I've had it.
Customer Review: Plug & Play Summary: 5 Stars
Truly a simple, effective and helpful peripheral. I bought it for use in some classes I am teaching. The laptop I use has that awful touch pad of course, which I loathe. With this Belkin hub I plug in a wireless mouse antenna, and even a memory stick or two, and I am free to move around in the classroom. The hub is solidly built, and comes with a power supply if needed. I did not need it, either at home or in the classroom.
Customer Review: Belkin USB 4-Port Hub Summary: 5 Stars
So far so good, the other reviews on this item are really accurate. For some reason the imac only has usb ports in the back that are really hard to access so I needed a solution for that that would be able run external usb harddrives (western digital passport) and it does it perfectly. Good device for the price.
edit
I just saw that they raised the price. I bought it for 15.99 + tax :/
Customer Review: Works great, looks great Summary: 5 Stars
This is a fab little device. The top-loading ports are really handy for the things you don't leave in all the time, and they're spaced wide enough that they can accommodate the occasional wide USB devices (I'm looking at you, Belkin Wireless Ethernet Adapter!) without losing an extra port.
It also nests nicely with the larger version of this hub, in case you need a LOT of ports.
Customer Review: The best hub ever!! Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great device. I now don't have to constantly uninstall device just to swap in another. One thing I notice: I occasionally have to reboot my laptop to uninstall a USB drive (I think it's Vista's problem) and since I have this hub, I don't have to do it anymore. All devices installed and uninstalled like they suppose to do. I even have an empty USB for my USB light!
