Remember when an extension cord with two or three outlets used to do the trick? Well, from there, I moved to a five outlet strip, which worked well except that some power adaptors needed to block one outlet while being plugged into another. Then I found a round power center which took five plugs of any kind without any trouble. Then came the power squid, with five cords of various length so that each one was like a separate extension cord. But Belkin has really outdone themselves with this TWELVE outlet power center with four fixed outlets in the center and four outlers on each side that swivel. And, of course, like most decent power centers, it has a built-in surge protector. For its versatility, its small footprint and the sheer number of outlets, this product is definitely the most convenient one on the market at this time.Customer Review: Pivot Plug Surge Protector

This is an excellent product and it is the same one sold in Office Max but you get a better deal here on Amazon for it. I love the pivot plug feature, as by adjusting each one, I was able to get everything plugged into it.
As was mentioned on some other reviews here, I did find the middle set of non-pivoting plugs to be a bit hard to actually get the cords plugged into them--but it wasn't impossible. Besides, if its a good tight fit, then that's a good thing, right? At least you know they won't come out easily, if it takes a bit of effort to get them in there.
I would not hesitate to buy from this seller again, they shipped super fast.Product brand new as was described as well. This is definitely a good deal---oh yeah, the warranty covering all the stuff you have plugged into it,, is awesome as well.

I have a lot of electronics crammed onto a small desk in the corner of my college dorm room. Wall outlets are few and far between, and I need to maximize the space and keep everything plugged in, but still removable for travel. I saw this and knew it was perfect.
There are 12 separate outlets, with 8 on the outside that can be angled. This feature is great for having different sized plugs and converters attached. I have my laptop, xbox, camera charger, phone charger, harddrive, extra screen, room heater, and ethernet switch all attached (at least). I can take them on and off, no problem, and I still have room for more.
Of course be careful about overuse, and the surge protector is somewhat longer than I expected, but all in all it works as planned, and I can't think of any needed improvements.

I don't know why, but the area of Phoenix I live in is prown to power surges.
I have all my Home Theater and PC equipment on Belkin Surge Protectors. None of my equipment has ever failed due to a power surge. I just ordered a new PC to add to my bedroom Home Theater system, and I also ordered another Belkin because my old one didn't have enough plugs.
It's a little difficult to plug things in. You have to push pretty hard. But, that's a good thing. Once your plugged in, you don't have to worry about a plug coming loose when you have to move things around, dust things off, etc.
Plus, you can't beat their life time warranty, and the huge dollar value they cover for the items you have plugged in.
All in all, a great product.

I have worked in the technology industry for 15 years. I used to buy a different brand until they stopped making them. I found this brand and model after much research, then purchased them on Amazon.
After my first purchase, I purchased three more and took them to Mexico for my grounded outlets. I now own six of them. I am thrilled with these protectors.
I love the fact that the output connectors swivel. This has helped considerably when plugging in items that require extra space. The multimedia inputs are great too.
The actual surge protection is greater on this model than the professional model I used to buy.
I highly recommend this product for home use for all your technical and multimedia needs.
