Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Belkin Pivot-Plug Surge ProtectorsCustomer Review: You'd be crazy not to buy this surge protector Summary: 5 Stars
I have seen this on other websites for $20-$30 dollars more. Are they serious?! I believe that Amazon sold this at a very fair price (a steal) considering what you're liable to plug into this surge protector. Very bulk, sturdy, yet lightweight material on this thing. I just received mines today, and I have got to say that this is probably the first time I have gotten something that looked like what was pictured on the box/website. What I like about it is the black pivoting sockets on the sides of the surge protector. This will and does allow you to plug in those big, bulky, bad-boys known as AC adapters. Anyone who has computers, speakers, and portable phones know how annoying these things can be. They get in the way of another socket, and so the adapter actual takes two sockets instead of one. Not anymore! plug in your big adapters on the side, and use the sockets in the middle for your other natural adapters. I have my XBOX 360, PS3, external HDD, Samsung HDTV, two DVD players, and 505 watt Logitech Speakers plugged into this thing. Trust me, lighting may only strike once, and rarely twice, so don't go unprotected another day without the proper surge protector. And the best thing is the price Amazon is offering. This Christmas will see a ton of electronic equipment, and what better item to go along with all of those computers, gaming consoles, and HDTVs then an affordable, high-quality surge protector.
Customer Review: Great Surge Protector At A Great Price Summary: 5 Stars
I was looking for good multiple outlet device for a recharging center I built for all our rechargeable devices, e.g. cell phones, PDAs, Kindle, etc. This Belkin Pivot-Plug protector is ideal because it allows for tilting the individual outlets to accommodate those large voltage regulators that many rechargeable devices require. My recharging center was easy to make and much less expensive than the ready-made ones that I've seen. I just used a small antique cabinet that we use as a TV stand for our small kitchen TV. Inside I added thin shelves, mounted the Belkin unit at the back, drilled a hole in the back to allow the Belkin unit to be plugged in, then plugged in all our recharging units and attached the ends of each cord to a shelf. I then labeled the place on each shelf for the appropriate device and, voila! Now when something needs recharging I just open the cabinet door, plug the device in at its own place, and close the door. All the recharging takes place behind the cabinet door, out of sight. And no more fumbling in a drawer for the right recharger, plugging it in, then wrapping it up and returning it to the drawer after the device is recharged. It's a big improvement for not much money, and the Belkin Pivot-Plug Surge Protector made it possible.
Customer Review: Best on Market in Price Range and Size Summary: 5 Stars
This is by far the best protective unit I have used and I have some $10,000 worth of equipment relying on it and a back up powersource all utilizing this outstanding Belkin product.
It is large compared to many but still quite small and none of the strips offer 12 outlets not to mention 8 that are flexible, 4 on each side and then the stationary 4 on the top of the unit.
This day and age it seems almost any device seems to have the transformer brick plug which with standard strips of outlets over steps the bounds and makes usually renders one or more sockets not usable.
You have on the one end a place that can try to mange the chords but not really all twelve if you are using them all. In any case that is not a major concern. I have my plugs and all that hidden anyway and use twist ties to help keep them together and that helps to manage them ok.
I highly recommend this exceptional 12 socket power surge protector for anyone with high end equipment. I have used both 2 and 3 prong plugs with no issues.
Customer Review: Belkin Pivot-Plug Surge Protector Summary: 5 Stars
This is an excellent product. I just purchased a new computer, and with all the accessories - printer, modems (multiple), back up hard drive, iPod, etc., we needed to utilize multiple plug in cords. The frustrating thing with cords today is that they are not all standard size. Some have larger plug "heads" that take up too much room and descrese the overall efficiency of standard power strips. The pivoting heads on this model completelt takes care of that hassel. I can use all of the outlets without limitation. Also, this has twelve outlets (eight of which pivot) so it is like having two power strips in one (at least). I hopefully never have to use it but it also comes with a warranty if the surge protector fails. I like having all of my plugs neatly in one place and only taking up one wall outlet. Lastly, since costs slightly more than $25 you also get free shipping which is always a plus. While slightly more expensive that the standard power strips, I thing this product is excellent and highly recommend.
Customer Review: BELKIN BP112230-08 8 Feet 12 Outlets 4320 Joules Pivot-Plug Surge Protector Summary: 5 Stars
Once again short and to the point, I have owned this item for at least 3 months and I love this surge protector! with 12 outlets its hard to run out of places to plug things in and the1-in, 2-out RJ11 telephone/fax surge protection, and coaxial protection are a nice bonus. It also has places on the back for wall mounting and the $300,000 connected warranty is very nice to. This Belkin surge protector has survived 6 power failures, 3 power surges and 1 close lightning strike with a laptop, Tv, phone, all in one printer, DVD player, Direct TV box, alarm clock, Mp3 player, and a lava lamp, and it still works like day 1!!! I think the only way that this is possible is because this model of Belkin surge protector has a max amp resistance of 250,000 or it could just be "dumb luck". At the stores it is close to; if not double or more the price that it is here on Amazon. At Office Max it was $over 52. Either way I highly this surge protector(BELKIN BP112230-08 8 Feet 12 Outlets 4320 Joules Pivot-Plug Surge Protector).
