I had purchased 2 other firewire cables previous to this one and they both failed on me. They were other brands. Apperently they are very fragile. Go figure. I didnt even do anything to them and they failed. This i have used for quite sometime and it still work great. and its cool looking to boot LOL

I use this product to connect my video camera to my PC and the cable works great! when transfering the data to my PC I had no dropped frames or anything (of course alot of that depends on your pc too). You cannot go wrong with this firewire 400 cable from Belkin. It has worked flawlessly since I purchased it in June 2005. I compared prices at three computer/electronics stores and could not find this specific cable - or any other firewire cable - for under $30. Yup, it's a cable. The 400 Mbps is a bit tough for me to verify although it's certainly about six feet, give or take. The best thing? Miles cheaper than the rip-off prices of such items in bricks and mortar stores - which generally make outrageous margins on accessories. Take that, Circuit City!Customer Review: It works. Belkin cable is one of the premier cable companies in the world. When I was in the busines of designing networks, I always specified Belkin as the cable of choice. It never failed. I am not sure if Belkin assembled this cable or not, but I will testify that this firewire cable works as described.
