Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Belkin IEEE 1394 4-Pin/6-Pin 400 Mbps FireWire Cable (6 Feet)

Customer Review: Comes in Handy
Summary: 5 Stars

Most file transfers probably don't need the hassle of a fire-wire cable, but on the occasions that you want one - you need one. No one wants to spend hours backing up a PC or transferring over something to another computer. Keep in mind of the different sizes of fire-wire cables though. I ended up not needing this one. It still looks cool though. It has the glow of "I may use this again one day."

Customer Review: Saved $20. buying it from Amazon
Summary: 5 Stars

I almost bought this at Staples for $29.99, but instead I came home and checked out prices online - found it at Amazon for $20.00 less. We will be using it primarily to transfer home movies to our computer - directly from the camcorder. From what I understand it transfers movies faster, with better end results (picture, sound) than if we just used the cord that came with our camcorder to do so.

Customer Review: Quality Cable For The Right Price
Summary: 5 Stars

The camcorder I purchased did not come with one of these, which was surprising as the previous two I've owned did. All the stores in my area were were charging $30+ for one of these. I refused to pay 5% of the cost of the camcorder for a cable which had been included in the past. Amazon came through yet again with a reasonable price and this cable works perfectly with my Canon HV20.

Customer Review: Works Well
Summary: 5 Stars

This cord worked well for transferring movies from a DVR to my Mac.

Also, while hiking through the wilderness, I came in contact with three bears. I was able to scare off two of them by whipping this fine cord around in large arcs like a whip. Later, after the third bear lost interest in me, the cord served as an excellent tourniquet.

Highly recommend.

Customer Review: Great cable, Great Price!
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a great cable for 1/3 the price of the comparable cable at a brick and mortar store. This is a very well built cable with braided sheilding and a stiff protective sheath. I used it with equipment that advised against using 4 to 6 pin cables (which wasn't an option for me since my laptop only had a four pin firewire jack) and had absolutely no issues.
