There isn't a whole lot to say about this cable. It works wonderfully, the cable is thick (i.e. not flimsy), the connectors are well built, and I like the braided-silver-wire appearance. Best of all, most stores mark up cables to outrageous prices but this particular cable costs nearly 70% less on Amazon than it does at various national-chain electronic stores. If you need a 4-to-6 pin firewire cable, this is the one to get. (That being said, make sure you need a 4-6 pin--small one one end, large on the other--cable).Customer Review: Great

I felt risky ordering these, but they're just fine, work great, no problems at all plugging them into camcorder or Mac USBs to capture footage in Final Cut. I ordered 15 for the school where I teach and students have been using them all the time, no problems at all. I will say I felt it was nasty that they shipped all 15 together but charged for each one shipping separately - and they charged a HUGE shipping fee for each. The cable is a fairly thick one, it wants to keep the original folded shape.
The cable fits well in my laptop and was able to transfer data from several drives with no issue.
The 4pin firewire side is a small connector, so be careful not to snap it off or break the laptop connector.
I do not think this is an issue with this cable, but the 4 pin connector size and design.
For the price, I would purchase this cable again.

...This is a very good quality cable. It has a very nice fell to it. The braided sleeve gies it a "stay" not seen with the rubber sleeve cables. I do not see the logic in spending a lot of money on cables. There are cheaper ones on Amazon.com, but ony this was eligible for the free shipping. I was familiar with how it looked since I had shopped for it in the retail store. With the free shipping (& no taxes) this is an excellent deal.

I purchased this cable in order to transfer video from my Sony Handycam to my Macbook. I haven't had any problems whatsoever. The cable is very thick and sturdy, and I'm sure it will hold up well. I trust the Belkin name and this purchase confirmed that they put out quality products. Finally, the price here on Amazon couldn't be beat; I saw the same cable later at an electronics store and it was twice as much. Thanks, Amazon!
