Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Belkin High-Speed USB 2.0 7-Port Mobile Hub

Customer Review: A life saver
Summary: 5 Stars

Wow, this (little in size) thing works really well. I use a USB plugin called MagicJack which is "Internet Telephone" and it was stopping and restarting several times a day on my laptop. One of the fixes recommended was to "try" a powered USB hub. Apparently my laptop with a USB mouse and USB CD just didn't have enough USB stability. With 7 USP ports available I also put a USB external speaker and my MP3 player on at the same time. I have not had a single problem with my Internet Telephone (or anything else) after a week! I was able to remove the laptop docking port because of the extra USB jacks available. I just purchased another hub for the 2nd computer (I'm a nerd). Now I can buy more toys for those other two unused USB jacks.

Customer Review: Excellent Purchase
Summary: 5 Stars

Despite what all the nay sayers express about this USB Hub, it is an excellent peripheral to your PC. Before purchase, I had at best four USB ports on my PC, where now I have ten ports with the addition of the hub. I've one suggestion. If you're attaching a heavy duty peripheral to the hub, don't install an additional one right next to it. Use the other side. When encountering an aforementioned challenge, I find this procedure works for me. Peripherals requiring less energy can be plugged onto the Hub anywhere. The Hub is an excellent purchase, and if I need more USB ports, I'll buy another one.

Customer Review: High amperage awesomely rocks
Summary: 5 Stars

I have three Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex 1 TB USB 2.0 Ultra-Portable External Hard Drive STAA1000100 (Black)and a Seagate FreeAgent Go 250 GB USB 2.0 Portable External Hard Drive ST902503FAA2E1-RK (Black). I had been looking for a while for a powered router that would power all of them up at the same time and this one was it. All four running at the same time. It was awesome. 4 amps were of power.

Customer Review: Great product! Works as Promised!
Summary: 5 Stars

I've been using this USB hub for almost a year now and have zero complaints. It's the first USB hub I've used so I was a little worried - but I would recommend it to anyone needing a few extra ports. I'm using it with a titanium MacBook to connect to 2 hard drives, a camera, iphone cable, and the occasional thumbdrive. Set up was easy and I haven't noticed any issues with speed in transferring data. Based on my experience, this is a great option for expanding on the limited number of USB ports available on MacBooks.

Customer Review: Works great -- no problems
Summary: 5 Stars

It's pretty straightforward, but it works great. I use it on my PS3 to expand the USB ports and it works great (a must if you use Rock Band, you need a powered switch). Also the gloss black finish goes great with the PS3, even though I mounted mine to the bottom of a shelf to save space.

One side note, I don't know if this is in the instructions or anything, but you actually don't need to use the power adapter if you don't want -- it will still work fine with periphials that don't need the extra power.
