Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Belkin High-Speed USB 2.0 7-Port Mobile HubCustomer Review: Works, powered or not Summary: 4 Stars
I've had this hub on my Mac iBook for a few months now. Great for docking -- keyboard, mouse, hard drive, camera all plug into it, then just one cable to attach to my laptop. Since all my devices are low-power, I can use it without the power adapter, but having the power adapter is a nice bonus when required by high-power devices. The power cable is entirely too short, though, just 2.5 feet. The hub is quite small, smaller than a deck of playing cards.
Customer Review: Tiny and elegant Summary: 4 Stars
This really is very small and the power cable really is very short. I've velcroed this to the side of my cabinet and it is very unobtrusive. The power source is only about 2.5 feet long, so if that's a problem you might want to look elsewhere.
Also, I couldn't find the spec anywhere, but the connection to the computer requires a mini-USB connector so it is not compatible with the A connector that Amazon sold me with it.
Customer Review: Decent, cheap Summary: 4 Stars
If you can get one of these for under $20, buy it. USB 3.0 is coming soon, so wait if you can. The power cord on these Belkin units is really short, under 3 feet, but this unit doesn't have the irritating lights of a similar Belkin model. Speed and reliability seem okay.
Customer Review: Belkin High-Speed USB 2.0 7-Port Mobile Hub F5U701-BLK Summary: 4 Stars
Item is sleek in size and design and great for traveling. It would have been nice to have lights to visually verify connections. My only dissapointment is the short cable which needs to be close to a wall jack source. Otherwise overall a good compact device.
Customer Review: Works great! Summary: 4 Stars
This port is small, fits great on my desk and works great. I have not noticed any slowdown in my device speeds and now I can leave all of the cords plugged in instead of searching for them everytime I want to charge something.
