i have only owned 2 coolers. the other 1 was a antec cooler wit ASIN: B0000BVYTV. the usb connector always frayed. at first, i thought it was good since u could store the cord in the bottom, but since the cord nn 2 b folded that frayed the side u plug into the cooler. the cooler itself held up, but without the cord it was useless.
i have owned this belkin cooler since sept of 08. no problems yet. keeps my lap cool and the laptop 2. the antec 1 broke down within 4 months both times i bought them.

I've this for 2 months now. Have been using it almost everyday and most of the time I've the laptop on my lap for over 8 hrs a day. There are a few days when it's almost 80F inside but I seldom has to plug in the fan. Because of its curve shape, putting the laptop on it already allow some space for the heat to dispense. It also feel very comfortable on my lap. However, when it sits on the table, it put the laptop at an angle and I don't really like it though it's more a personal preference. Highly recommend it if you use your laptop on your lap a lot.Customer Review: great laptop cooler!

I shopped around for weeks looking for a cooler for my new hp dv5z laptop. I actually found this exact one at costco for 19.99 which is a plus cause it means no shipping! I almost bought a 40$ one on here and am so glad I found this one. Is has nice little legs that prop your laptop off if wanted and you can really feel the air being pulled away from it. Mine is not noisy at all, maybe a little humming noise but I cant tell if its the laptop or the fan-so cant notice at all.
Seriously, stop looking around, save 20$ and buy this one. it does its job.

I like how this laptop cooler is shaped better than most other laptop coolers that the air flow seems like it gets in easier. The one fan though seems a bit weaker than say the Antec laptop cooler but that has 2 fans. I think I like this one over the antec one though since just sitting the laptop on this stand even without it powered on you are improving the heat flow to your laptop. This and the Antec seem to be the best laptop coolers for the price/performance. Don't bother using this with the raised flip out it is too unstable that way.Customer Review: Fantastic Laptop Cooler

This was a great purchase. I did a little research before buying a laptop cooler for my 15.4" MSI laptop since it was heating up a little bit after an hour or so of usage. I read up on the description of this cooler and was very impressed. The fact that it sucks the air makes it quiet and only requires one fan. My laptop never gets above room temperature, and the cooler has actually increased its battery life. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a laptop cooler for a computer that is no more than 15.4"!
