I ordered this cooling stand based on the design & angle that my laptop would be when using this device. I was not dissapointed, the one fan with the curved pad delivers more airflow than any 2 fan pads that i have used. Sometimes I need to move my mouse away to keep the cool air off of my hand. The preset angle that the stand sits at when set up is excellent for seeing your keyboard and not having to bend over to look at the keys if your laptop was laying flat on the table. Also the USB cable storage in the flip down leg works well and the grip pads hold my 17" laptop very well. Excellent purchase I would buy again if needed and even had a friend by one from Amazon after seeing mine in action, my laptop will NOT have ANY overheat problem with this Belkin pad. The package says it's design works better with 1 fan vs. 2 fans and they ARE CORRECT.Customer Review: works great to disapate!!

bought this product from a local retailer after looking at several others which suck air away from the laptop(usually flat pads). noticed the curviture on it and the fact that it blows air. great design. the power port where the usb plug attaches has popped out a few times and the fan did stop. this was due to me accidently yanking it out and the plug coming loose. all i did was simply unscrew the 9 phillips screws on the bottom and place the plug port back in its slot. the fan stopped when my shorts got caught in it while on my lap. all in all, this is a very simple yet effective pad. with a little know how of tools and how things gennerally work this fan should never have to be sent in for a repair. its 2 pieces of plastic with a fan sitting in the middle. easy to maintain and repair if neccassary.Customer Review: Saved me from a costly laptop replacement

I caused irrepairable damage to my 2 year old laptop by leaving it on all the time (combined with a low quality processor). My laptop was to the point of turning off immediately after turning it on due to overheating. This product allows the laptop to stay cool enough to function as long as I need it (5-6 hours at a time) and saved me from a very costly replacement. Taking out the laptop battery seems to help a little in terms of heat and now I always turn off my laptop when I am not using it. Also, this product is quieter than my laptop's own internal fan and very portable. I have been using this cooler for several months and am very pleased with it. It recently began making a whining siren noise. Today I discovered that a product "quick installation guide" was lodged between the fan and the frame. It was beginning to rub against the fan causing that sound I used to love as a child when I put my bicycle upside down and ran the pedals while allowing a card to flap wildly against the spokes. I definitely have outgrown my love of that sound! I pulled the installation guide out and now it runs almost silently again. Really great product. It works as advertised, the plastic makes it light on the lap, and the design works extremely well. I have had the Belkin laptop cooling pad for a few weeks and I love it. I use it with my Macbook and it makes a very big difference. Before purchasing this I had trouble working with the Macbook on my lap because it just got too hot. The Belkin cooling stand has a nice curved design that creates a small pocket under the computer where the air flows nicely. The cord is nice and short too, so it doesn't get in the way. I does cost a few dollars more than the Targus but I tried that one first and was disappointed. It simply stopped working after a few weeks even though I never dropped it or anything. I have already dropped the Belkin twice and it still works great. The Belkin is a great deal.
