This range extender works as advertised! I am very happy with the purchase. I was a little worried after reading some of the horror stories here, but I have to say, Chovy's review instructions (on this site) were just this ticket to get the repeater up and running in less than 30 minutes. It was unbelievably easy to install! Do not be frightened by negative reviews. If you can set up a wireless network, you can set up this repeater. However, I did upgrade the firmware before I did anything else and maybe that helped. I got the firmware update from the Belkin site.Customer Review: Works great, but hard to set up encryption

This unit solved very nicely a problem I had with getting a wireless g signal to all areas of the house. The one-touch set-up, to get the range expander talking to a Linksys router, worked great. What was confusing and difficult was setting up the security. Thanks to Andy C's review, I was eventually able to get WAP personal encryption working. Tech support wasn't helpful--the technician told me the unit was defective, and that I should send it back. That didn't make sense to me, so I kept on working with the unit till I finally got it going.Customer Review: Four bars throughout the house.

The device works as advertised. My wireless router is in my den at one end of the house. My wireless reception at the other end of the house was almost non-existent. Now I get 4 out of 4 bars throughout the house and in my backyard as well. Setup took about 10 minutes, including encryption configuration. The ease of setup and reliability may be due to the fact that I am using a Belkin Pre-N wireless router. But, the two Linksys wireless bridges throughout the house work just fine. The best $40 I spent in a long time.Customer Review: EASY!!!!

Extended range to a free-standing pool house on property within five minutes and it has worked perfectly since! I was very worried after reading the mixed reviews for this product, but since I already had a Belkin router I figured using the same brand for the extender would be the best bet. The only issue (a very small one) is that if the electricity goes out, you have to go and press the "search" button on the back of the extender for about 10 seconds. I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THIS PRODUCT AS A RANGE EXTENDER!Customer Review: Does what it's supposed to do.

These devices (not limited to this brand specifically, but most of the major brands)are wonderful because they truly require no work to set up. Literally 3 minutes from opening the box it was up and running. You simply press a button on the back, it finds the base unit and "becomes" the proxy for it. You don't need to change your settings in the wireless router on your laptop, and you don't need to configure anything on this device. And since this one is priced so competitively, it's a no-brainer. Just grab it.
