Customer Review: Non-Intuitive setup but definitely works like advertised

A few people have complained about the difficult setup and how the Auto-Configure doesn't work. The Aut-Configure might not be the best option for most people and the advanced setup requires you to connect your computer to the device using the supplied Ethernet cable. The software setup is precisely explained on page 14 of the manual that is included on the CD.
Once you are connected to the device, you can browse to the web management interface and configure it to repeat any available Wireless network.
Again, Non-Intuitive so you'll get frustrated if you don't follow the manual but it took me no longer than 20 minutes to setup the whole thing as I was aware of the non-intuitive setup and knew to find the manual on the CD.

When I got the Belkin F5D7132, I took it out of the box, read the couple of lines of directions, plugged it in, held the "connect" button, and it was up and running. Since that time, it has been plugged in, and working flawlessly. I would recommend to anyone who has a wireless system, that may be a little less than what they need. My wireless connection was several rooms away, and even though the computer could connect, I would get a low to very low signal. With this in place, I currently get an excellent signal. I am able to move anywhere in the house with the laptop and have a great signal. I do have this as an extender, not a direct connect to the modem.Customer Review: Strong Signal & Easy Setup

It took about 10 minutes to setup and I had a full strength signal in areas of my house that were poor at best. I have been using it for about 3 months now with no problems and always a strong signal. I never thought it would have been this easy and so inexpensive to improve my signal stregth. My Netgear wireless route provides very good signal strength for one end of the house, but there are areas at the far end that had a poor signal. There was no easy/cheap way to run a wire, so this was a perfect solution. I have just bought one for my in-laws and it works perfect at their house. I highly recommend it and you can not beat the price.Customer Review: Works Great

Works great and easy setup. I live in a 3 story townhouse, with my main wireless access point in my 3rd floor office. Reception in the basement was unreliable, and would fade in and out. I added the Belkin Extender in about 10 minutes and my signal strength through out the house is now at maximum. I am only running 128 bit WPA so I have not verified the reported problems with WEP. WPA is working fine so I have no complaints. I do get an occasional IP conflict with one of my 2 laptops attached to the Belkin Extender, but it does not hurt performance. I am absolutely satisfied with the product.Customer Review: Worth every penny!

I just bought this from Amazon with free 2-day thanks to my Amazon Prime membership. My stepson's bedroom is in the farthest room from our D-Link access point and he was getting a "Poor" signal strength interfering with his extremely important online gameplay. After configuring it using my desktop PC in my home office, I deployed this Belkin Range Extender to a hall bathroom of all places located midway between his bedroom and the wifi access point. Took me an :30 and we were up and running with a happy online game player! I fully recommend this to extend your wifi signal.
