I use a PowerMac G5 with a Radeon 9600XT with, of course, a DVI and ADC port. For a while I had my monitor hooked up to the DVI output and was happy as can be. Recently, I bought an HDTV to hook my Xbox 360 up to. Since the 360 can't output a digital signal (well, not until the new black one comes out) I figured I should find a way to put the HDMI input to use. Knowing HDMI is just DVI with an audio signal, I figured buying this adapter and a DVI to HDMI cable would allow me to hook up both my monitor and TV at the same time for even more desktop real estate. The adapter works fine, with the only caveat being that I initially hooked the DVI to HDMI cable to it - my TV however, did not seem to like the ADC to DVI to HDMI conversion. Not a big deal, I just hooked the DVI cable on my monitor to the ADC to DVI adapter and the DVI to HDMI cable to the DVI port on the video card. That was a few weeks ago, and it's bee working great ever since.
