I just got it today and I was really excited to use it cause I just got a laptop for college, but I wanted all my old songs and pictures and some old documents from my desktop on my new laptop. So I followed the directions (and it was super easy) and now all my files are on my new laptop! I'm sooo excited and super happy with this product, best 12 bucks I've ever spent I think. This was a great product for large file transfers between computers. Software was easy to set up. The most important feature for me was the ability to wirelessly transfer when computers are not close for cable use. I have not used the sync feature yet for all of my computer files just the file transfer feature. While the cable is as good as Gold, the easy transfer program it works with is less than what I consider user friendly. It does transferring rather more autonomously than I would like with not enough feedback information for me to know about what it is doing exactly. The first time I tried to use it, I had to leave both laptops on over night. I woke up the next morning and the information STILL had not transferred. I thought I had done something wrong. I tried it again and this time I only transferred specific files. Turns out the first time I was literally trying to transfer every single file. Lesson learned!Customer Review: Highly recommended!

I needed to transfer many files (including tons of photos) from my old computer with Windows XP to my new computer that has Windows Vista. It worked like a charm and was a real time saver. It would have taken forever using discs. You can choose to transfer everything or be more selective. I highly recommend the Belkin Easy Transfer Cable.
