Customer Review: Excellent Basic Belkin Product With Good Features

I have always liked Belkin products.
Although this is a basic surge suppressor, it was designed well.
It has a 2 and 1/2 inch width, so that it can stay flat on the floor or desk when it is full of power plugs and adapters. By contrast, a generic extension cord is only 1 and 5/8 inch wide and can easily be twisted and not stay flat.
It has a master switch that CANNOT be accidentally tripped, because it is located on the corded end and recessed.
A green LED indicates power and a red LED would light up if the wall power outlet it was plugged into is not properly grounded.
In addition to providing surge suppression for electrical power, it also does it for your landline telephone line. You just plug the telephone line from the wall to the RJ11 jack labelled "In", then plug in another telephone line from one of the two "Out" jacks to your telephone. This is very useful for areas that constantly experience thunderstorms. An ounce of prevention here would avoid expensive repair or replacement of your telephone equipment later.
I highly recommend this basic Belkin surge suppressor.
