I always research before I purchase a product. Once I found out the correct pin count on the cable it was time to research the best price. I could of gone to Best Buy for $35.00, but not being in a hurry to make this purchase, I researched the best price and found it here on Amazon saving about $24.00.

We recently had a 10-foot FireWire cable wear out (the connector at one end went bad) and chose this cable to replace it. We wanted a shorter cable, as we use it to download video from a video camera to a laptop, and they are usually sitting right next to each other. I was a little sceptical ordering this item as I had read another review that there was nothing on the packaging that said it was actually a Belkin product. The package I received was indeed without a doubt Belkin and it works great for transferring video to my laptop which is the reason it was purchased.
