Years ago we had a power surge that screwed up my TV. Now that I got a new TV, I decided it would be a good idea to give it some protection. I mounted this unit to the wall behind the entertainment center - it has two slotted holes in the back for mounting - and plugged everything into it. The cord on the unit is nice and long, which is great because my nearest outlet is about 6 feet away. I actually think the picture quality of my TV improved somewhat due to the filtering this thing does - of course, that may very well just be my imagination.
Overall, I'm very satisfied with it. Hopefully if I have another power surge it will protect all my stuff, even more hopefully I'll never find out.

Great - big - everything fits with no overlap. Like the glowing lights on it. Sturdy - reliable. A definate 5 star BUY. I read the others...who needs colors? Who needs tilting outlets? Wish it came in white but hey, I wish it came in carpet colors too - can't have everything. Fantastic product...let it rain, let it pour, let it lightening all it wants to now. Bring on the tornado with that electrical storm...I won't lose a wink of sleep running around unplugging all my electricals (computer, etc)...or worrying wondering if I unplugged everything before I left for that hard earned vacation. I ordered 3 surge protectors for my home computers.
When I connected everything, one of the units did not pass through
the ethernet signal. I thought "oh no", this is going to be a pain.
I went to the customer service/return website.
To my surprise, the process was so simple and easy and painless.
They had my recent purchases. Just click the item, answer a few pull
downs and bam, a prepaid return label was printed. Pop it on the box and
put it in the mail. At the same time a replacement is immediately being
shipped to me. No cost and minimal effort. I am a most satisfied customer.

I never believed in a surge protector until i bought this one. I have purchased this to protect my 46" LCD TV. I have rerouted all the power connections and even the co-axial cables from my Cable set top box into this protector. Initially i was afraid that the co-axial cable filter might affect the picture quality. But infact the entire setup has improved the quality. I truly believe that all the power related noise has been stabilized. The protector is indeed doing its job. Hopefully it should be this way for the rest of its life.
Its a good buy to protect your electronics. The 3500 Joule protection is perfect for HD TV and home theaters.

There's not much to review here in terms of performance -- it either works or it doesn't. I've had this for for a couple of months and it has worked fine. It's light, convenient and low-priced. The 10ft (3m) lead is a real boon. It can be quite annoying to buy something like this and find that the lead is inconveniently short. And if you're going to get a surge protector, you may as well go for 12 outlets. Of course, they will not all be usable, because you will have some odd-shaped plugs, but there's no getting around that.
From what I saw was available at the time I was buying, this product was a best buy, and I am happy with it.
