Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Belkin 12-Outlet Home/Office Surge Protector with Phone/Ethernet/Coaxial Protection and Extended CordCustomer Review: It's Solid.. Summary: 5 Stars
I recently purchased a wireline LAN device to link a 360 back to the home dvr located on the floor above. I had an older, radio shack power strip for god knows what reason powering some devices near my LCD and 360. I was only able to get to barely acceptable levels on my Media Center tests for watching HDTV programming.
I used this device to power all of my devices instead of the Shack power strip. I ran my Media Center tests again. This time all bars were green and I can now run my HDTV programming across the home wiring.
I am no electrician but that tells me this thing is a quality device internatlly. The low profile design is also really ideal for sliding under television cabinets. It's a lot more discrete than most 12 outlet strips.
Great value.
Customer Review: Great just as a regular power-strip too Summary: 5 Stars
I didn't really buy this thing with surge-protection in mind. Rather I just bought it because I was looking for a regular powerstrip with more than the average 6 or so outlets. What is really great about this strip though above the fact it has 12 outlets is the side outlets with a lot of space in between. These are wonderful for plugging in large AC adapters and other non-standard plugs which would have to take up 2 or even 3 spaces in a regular outlet. With this unit I can actually make use of all 12 outlets !!!!
Unlike some people here I have not yet had lightning strike or anything like that so I can't really judge its performance based on that, but everyone else seems happy so it seems like a win-win situation to me! This is definitely the power-strip to buy!
Customer Review: The best deal for a quality product Summary: 5 Stars
After exhaustive search on Amazon, I decided on this particular surge suppressor because of the following reasons:
1. It's made by Belkin, a brand I have had many good experiences in terms of quality and workmanship.
2. This one has twelve outlets, and six of them can accommodate "brick" type plugs.
3. It has phone line (RJ-11 plug) protection.
4. It has Ethernet (RJ-45 plug) protection.
5. It has coaxial cable protection.
The protection this particular model provides is rated at 4156 Joules.
I don't think there is another product that gives you so much for under $25!
BTW, surge suppression will only work effectively when your electrical outlets are properly grounded.
Customer Review: Excellent choice Summary: 5 Stars
This surge protector has all the outlets I needed and some I didn't (ex: coax and phone surge protectors not needed for my setup). It has a nice long power cord and I liked having the "properly grounded" indicator. This lit up on the first outlet I tried it on. Of course my outlet tester said it was just fine, but then again, I plugged it into another outlet where the ground problem light did not come on so I just left it there. Overall, this seems to just work the way I wanted it to, so I would highly recommend it.

Customer Review: A MUST for Productivity and Performance, Required for the 7-Hour School Week Summary: 5 Stars
A surge protector will protect your precious computer, as well as help you save electricity by easily turning all electronics off with one touch. I love the Belkin 12-Outlet due to its design that allows you to put large adaptors on the sides. This allows you to get the most out of every outlet.
Other single file outlets don't have space for the large adapters that will end up taking 2-3 precious spaces.
I have 2 outlets that I use. One for all the electronics I use often (computer, lights, etc.), and one for electronics I charge once a while (cell phone, camera, etc.). This way, it is easy to turn each outlet on and off to save more electricity when the equipments aren't being used.
