Initially I was using a Monster optical cable borrowed from a friend. I decided to buy my own and chose this inexpensive cable. I can not tell the difference between the Monster optical cable and this one. A nice feature of the cable is the end caps are tied to the cable itself, this way they don't get lost. I have only been using the cable for a few days, so I can not speak to the longevity of the cable. Overall, I am satisfied and would buy this cable again.Customer Review: Works as good as the $30 dollar Monster Optical

I have this optical cable coming out of my PS3 and into my Sony receiver.
I can tell you that the sound quality is just as great as it is with the Monster Cable Optical Cable (3 ft) because I have one of those cables hooked up to my HD Cable box. I even used the Monster Cable with the PS3 during the first week - and I tell you, there is no difference between the two brands.
Don't get ripped off - spend the money you save in games or dvds!!

Just got my Google TV. Was trying to set it up with an amp that didn't have HDMI input. The Sony Google TV only has HDMI and optical output. Was depressed - pretty sure I couldn't get Google TV to work without needing to replace my amp. As a last attempt, looked at the back of my amp and was delighted to see that it accepted optical input....
Ordered this cable for < $3 and set thing up - everything works beautifully! Great sound quality!

I paid an unbelievable amount the first time I purchased one from radio shack. like $25 or something. I never knew I could get these this cheap.
Pro's: Very low cost, Works fine, no shipping charges as sent USPS.
Con's: cord is really thin. Doesn't look durable if you have to connect and disconnect frequently. If you just have to plug it in and forget it it will do the job.
Worth 5 stars for the price

I wanted an extra Optical Cable to use with my PS2. I have an expensive Monster cable that I use with my PS3 right now, and I just got sick of switching back and forth when I wanted to play some old PS2 games. I wanted something cheap that would do what it had to for the PS2. To me, this cable sounds exactly the same as the Monster cable. And it's really cheap. If you are looking for a 6ft. optical cable, this is a great value for decent quality.
