This keyboard is solid and responsive with robust functions and limited programmability. The handles are sturdy and contribute to the overall solidity of the device. The keys feel solid, but not stiff. The keypad is not without its quirks however; the num lock key must be *off* in order to use the letters "UIOJKLM" as letters rather than numbers. The sleep button is the only one that cannot be programmed (although the behavior of *all* sleep buttons can be set in Windows Vista). The cursor buttons are well proportioned and the joystick is rugged (although users may need to boost the track speed on high-resolution systems, i.e. HTPCs). The bundled software is primitive but functional. There is a driver for Vista 64 bit, which is critical due to Microsoft's rejection of all unsigned drivers for 64 bit Vista versions.Customer Review: RF is better than Bluetooth

This keyboard's use of Radio Frequency (rather than Bluetooth) means quicker response and longer reception than, for example, my much more expensive logitech Wave Pro, which often fails across the livingroom and often pauses and hickups. Plus, my son actually prefers the feel of this keyboard over the Wave Pro. As Julian says, this is the perfect keyboard for controlling the Dell Zino in my TV setup (15 ft away). I don't find the joystick as easy to manuver as a mouse, but at least it's very responsive. I've had it for over a year and I use it almost daily (including throwing it around the living room) and I've never had a problem. The handles make it easy to pickup (making it perfect for either the livingroom or the classroom). Note: My rechargable batteries don't quite last a week.Customer Review: Works like a charm

I purchased this product for use with a HTPC in our living room.
The quality is quite good. The range of the wireless is acceptable for my purposes. The hand grips are quite comfortable and the joystick mouse is quite easy to use (I use a trackpoint on my laptop - very similar movement - I loathe touchpads). The product is very nicely priced for what it can do.
The only drawback I found is that I had to put the receiver away from other items (tv, pc, etc) to decrease the interference on the mouse. I used a USB extension cable and put it near the top of my entertainment system.
I would recommend the product.

I got this keyboard because I wanted a keyboard to use when my laptop is hooked up to my tv monitor from across the room without having to deal with a separate mouse and not pay a zillion dollar for it. The joystick takes a couple of uses to get used to and then it's great. I love the lap indents too.
This keyboard was a lifesaver when I was laid up from surgery... okay, maybe not a LIFESAVER, but it did make things a lot more convenient.
I'm sure it's not the best on the market, but it's definitely worth more than you're paying for it.

This is such a great product, but because it was discontinued it is so hard to find. If you are looking for a great keyboard for you Home Theater PC, then this is one of the best keyboards for the job. The fact that the mouse features are built right in makes it even better. You no longer have to worry about tracking down that wireless mouse. The icing on the cake for me was that this keyboard really does go into full out sleep mode after a few minutes and unlike so many other products, this one doesn't waste your batteries just sitting around.
