Not much to say here that is not obvious, but bottom line these are worth it. The amazon price right I thought was also very good.
A little bit of installation required, but not much and certainly not hard. The stands are very sturdy - not plastic. The wires run through the base up the back side of the stem (not completely inside) and then into the speakers with a fit cover that hides the wires. The wires are virtually impossible to see.
If you are using heavier gauge wire (such as Monster speaker cable) which I was, they will still fit, but are a little bit tighter.
Overall I think these are great in every way so go ahead and splurge on the $$$.
