i had bought a Bose Acoustimass 10 series speaker system that i was hooking up to a new 3d samsung 58" tv. i first thought i was going to use the oem wiring but soon found out that 1- the front left and center were too short (my receiver is front right) and 2- the previous owners had run speaker wire in the walls but covered up the traces of them. so, once we found all 5 existing lines and refed them down to the new corner i just needed to find a junction box of sorts. when i learned that bose makes this wall plate, it became a no brainer. bought it, plugged in the speaker wires, connected it to the bass and whamo... sound, everywhere. its perfect for new or pre-installed wiring. keeps everything clean, a little less cable vomit behind the cabinet and its all good. my only complaint is i wish you had a choice in cable colors... yes i like the white wall plate but a black cable would hide itself better.
