The Bose SoundDock Portable has amazing bass for such a small unit. I have owned other iPod docking stations, some considered "high end" but none compare to the bass of the Bose. Also produces great highlights in the treble end and is a pleasure to listen to. I was disappointed in the life of the battery between charges. Bose states that the battery will last about 3 hours on full volume. That's just about true on most volume settings. The battery remains charged for a considerable time when not in use, so I got two batteries.Customer Review: No complaints

I don't understand some of the objections I read about this sound system. I have been researching soundocks for months, although I knew that no one could beat this really nice Bose sound. At this price, it was a lot more than I wanted to spend, but after hearing my music and being able to carry it with me everywhere I didn't regret getting it. I only wish that it would do more than just play music from my iPhone and ipod: I wish it would have more than one use, like also having radio capability.
I highly recommend it.

Amazing. Simply dock and play. I was up and running in seconds for a party with access to 1000s of songs. Great quality and sound. I love music so sound was very important to me. How such a small portable system can produce such high quality sound is baffling. Love the battery pack power as I can walk anywhere, sit, play and relax. These are amazing times and music is being played with a new and fresh sound. If you are a music afficionado, and you are looking for immediate, portable, high quality sound, I highly recommend.Customer Review: sound is wonderful

This is very good. I've never spent any large amount of money for a portable player. We wanted something to use everywhere IE back yard, front porch, dining room. It's just great. Very happy I purchased this and absouletly recomend this. I think we will have this for many years. The sound far exceeds anything else we heard in this price range. I waited for a month or so to be sure I was so happy. Like the remote, like the battery warning when batteries are getting low. We used my friend's sound dock at all our parties in college so had to get our own. Great look, awesome sound (expected from Bose). Don't underestimate this sound dock, It can get REALLY loud and you can hear the awesome bass beats to all your jams. BTW this is not a radio, just an ipod/iphone sound dock... Has an awesome little remote to control everything. Controls are also on the side of the dock, very sensitive touch. Love that it is portable. Battery life is okay, wish it would last a bit longer though.
