Bought this for my wife for her Birthday just before Xmas and she bought me (unknown to myself) one that's more than twice the price for Xmas. So I had the chance to compare. Conclusion is that it's not worth paying twice the price, you don't get any better quality. My wife is delighted with the Axion display. You should resize the pics to optimise them for the frame resolution though (640x480) since I think the problems the other users have had is that the frame probably doesn't do such a good job at downsizing. Microsoft have a utility to right click a group of files in explorer and it quickly duplicates them at the appropriate resolution. Just google for "Microsoft Powertoys" and download the image resizer from the webpage. Advantage of doing this is the files drop from around 2mB in size to more like 80kB so you can fit tons of pics on a small cheap SD card. Only downside for me is the widescreen aspect ratio of the frame. Natural aspect ratio of photographs is narrower than widescreen, so there's always unused area at the sides of the pictures. Would be OK if it played video files, but it doesn't. Not a big gripe considering how cheap the frame is though. Don't forget, you need a memory card! The frame has no memory built in.

I bought the frame with a 1GB SD flash card. Then, it took me 5 minutes to resize 300+ picture into 640 X 480 resolution using the "edit Picture" function in MSFT's picture management tool (following a previous reviewer's excellent input). Remember to create a separate folder and copy pictures into that folder for resize, as picture management tool tends to overwrite the original jpg files with the resized / updated ones.
I loaded some mp3 files and the frame works flawlessly. The only gripe I have is that there are side bars not used on the frame. Probably, it can be resolved by pre-zooming pictures through the picture tool. Remote has "Zoom" function. But when you turn on zoom function, the slideshow ends.
Overall, considering what I got and what I paid, I give it a 5 stars. You can't beat 59 dollars while a Sony 9" frame goes for 240 dollars as comparison

I spent a great deal of time on Amazon's website to look for digital photo frames. My requirements, were crisp picture, 7 inch screen, international power supply (110-220V), MP3 music playing during picture slideshow and below $70 USD. The Axion-9702 does it all. It came in a nice box (good gift), quality of product was great, and most important good decent pictures. The product is made in China but show me one that is not. The frame was easy to setup. A lot of cool extra features such as clock, calender, alarm. The remote is useful, but I never used it. The 7" inch monitor is LCD with Hi-Resolution. Great product - a definate buy!!! You won't find any other digi frame with all these features at this price.Customer Review: Best value digital frame by far!

This is the best value 7" digital frame by far. I work in computer business and I find this digital frame a great value. I bought 2 units a while back for myself and a gift to a best friend. My friend loved it and after I tried it, I too loved it. This unit is easy to use and has clock and calendar. When I am not watching photos, I switch it to clock mode. If I want to take a nap, I turn on the alarm to wake me up. It works great at home or in office; the picture loading speed is fast. The screen is sharp and bright. I just can't ask for more. I would recommend this unit to any one. Others are selling over $80 and this unit (with clock/calendar/alarm) only sells for under $80. I give it a 95 out of 100.Customer Review: Great for the price

This frame is great for the price. I think most are way overpriced, this is too, but at least it was acceptable to me for a present. The clear border make it look great too, most others have a HUGE dark frame that is very unflattering. Was a little surprised how different the widescreen is, had to crop and resize photos the way I wanted them, which was very easy to do in my photo editor program. Got all the pictures we wanted on an old 8MB SD card we had lying around and we are very happy with it!
