I searched the net for a shredder with steel blades and found the manufacturers site for this Aurora AS890C. Amazon sold it. Received it in about three days, and it works excellent. My last shredder had blades made of aluminum; they bent and jammed. This was the cheapest shredder I found with steel blades. It is as advertised.Customer Review: Great shredder!

I was surprised by how well this shredder works. I haven't tried to shred a credit card with it yet, but as far as paper is concerned, it works quickly and efficiently. It accepts 8 sheets at a time, but I personally avoid inserting that many for fear of it jamming. Overall, it's a great machine at a great price.Customer Review: Works great!

Arrived quickly after ordering. This paper shredder easily takes multiple sheets of paper at once, and has been used to shred old credit cards, which it did with no problem. There is a window in the front of the waste basket which makes it easy to see how full it is and know when it needs to be emptied.Customer Review: Great gift

After finding out that my mother was shredding her paper with scissors, I purchased this as a gift. It was much more affordable that any shredders at local stores and seemed to be a better quality. This shredder is awesome. though it only shreds 8 sheets at a time,It does a wonderful job of cross-shredding.It cannot shred envelops or anything with glue on it, so if you have envelopes with your address on it that you'd like to destroy, you gonna have to find another way to get rid of those.
