This is my 2nd shredder. The last one I paid about $50 for, was about the size of a small bathroom garbage pail and I could only shred 1, maybe 2 pages at a time (carefully).
This one is a little larger and easily handles my utility bills. I was a little skeptical about the credit card shredder and was afraid to use it, but it worked like a charm.
So far I am satisfied with it's performance for what I need it for.

I've used shredders before that claim to handle multiple pages, but they really can't. This machine holds up what it claims to do. It powered through multiple sheets with no problem. Shredded a credit card like a pro! Even if it only lasts a year, I would consider it a very good deal.
Is it noisy? Ya, but for this price you are not going to get a quiet shredder anywhere. A super silent shredder will cost you hundreds.

I was in dire need of a good shredder. With 10 yrs of records this was the perfect choice. I could not break old discs by hand and it this cut them with ease. It worked so well I would fill up the bin very quickly. The bin is only about a foot high. But it does have an extender to allow for a larger size bin underneath. You may also need to have a transfer bag handy to empty the bin out. I am very pleased with its performance.Customer Review: Good shredder and great value

This is the best personal shredder I've used. I bought it based on Amazon recommendations, and I'm glad I did. It's cheap, and it works much better than shredders I've used in the price range. Paper just goes down - I don't have to keep guiding it or reversing the shredder and starting again. It does great with credit cards too. It feels surprisingly durable for a sub-$30 item as well, and I hope that holds up over time.Customer Review: A Fine Shredder

This shredder does the job well. Probably not shredded enough for double-naught spies but this one is wa-a-ay better than the old Fellowes shedder we had for many years. This shreds most credit card offers without having to open the envelope. It feels solid and well-made. Not as loud as the old one. Love the auto standby mode. I just don't understand the whiners that are dissatisfied with this low-priced shredder.
