I saw a lot of reviews on this product stating how it got stuck, how low quality it was, basket is to small etc. If your shredding job is LARGE please expect for any shredder this size to give you some type of problem (specially in the basket space subject).
I purchased this item yesterday (at a different retailer and for $5 less) and it works just great! It slows down when you put in the max amount of sheets but works fine and faster with lesser pages (obviously!).
I am very pleased with this item. Will recommend to anyone.

We have owned several shredders. Most don't last long enough to break them in! Most are very
loud and even make the TV go to "snow" mode when shredding. When the paper gets stuck in shred mode I want to throw the whole thing thru the window. I don't see the sense in "cross-cut" shredding. It creates a lot of dust that you end up inhaling when you dump the basket. Strip shredders make great packing material, don't make much dust and are fun to use! This one so far has started out just great.

Great shredder! Shreds in strips very effectively without clogging-as long as you go under the limit. I like how you can transfer the shredder to any size basket. Shreds credit cards and cd's with ease. Worth the money! The first day I got it I was scared it was going to break down according to some of the reviews but it worked fine after shredding mounds of paper. We used to have a followes cross-cut paper shredder but it stopped working after 5 years. So this is the replacement.Customer Review: Great little shredder!

This is a great shredder! I read the previous reviews and decided this would meet my needs. It is small, but not too small for what I needed it for, just around the house. It is very quiet also. Paper shreds great and I shredded one credit card that had expired and was really impressed with how well it handled it. I haven't tried the CD shredder part yet...but will when and if the need arises. For the money, you can't beat it. I purchased this sheredder through Amazon one week ago. I used this sheredder at home. It works well. This machine is able to shered 8 sheets of papers at one time. In order to reduce the burden of the motor, I shered one sheets at one time. By doing this way, it will prolong the life of the sheredder. For $30.00 sheredder, Amazon ships it free. The basket is little smaller requiring empting the basket more often. Other than that, I am very happy.
