I dont use shredders regularly. I clear out old statements year-end, so I wanted a way to destroy them without resorting to burning it in my kitchen sink, lol. I received the shredder, and I used it for about 2 hrs. It eats up paper just perfectly. I did 4-8 sheets at a time. It only powered off twice in those 2 hrs because of overheating, in which you will be aware because you'll smell it. Turn it to 'off' for 12 minutes or so, then you can resume use. Overall, it was a bargain and it worked just fine. It seems to be good for spuradic home use only, not for business or continuous everyday usage. It's a strip shredder that cuts paper into strips less than 1 cm wide, so it is pretty safe to guard against id theft.Customer Review: Very Pleased!!

I bought this economical shredder for a rather large home project. I actively participate in recycling and was looking for a shredder that meets the criteria for our local recycle program. Strip shredding - yes...all other cuts - no.
This little shredder has effortlessly chewed up my mountains of papers without overheating or screeching...nice:) And now I can rid my home of stacks of unwanted paper without the guilt of wasting by being able to recycle!! I will also mention that I feel very secure that sensitive information would be virtually impossible to read or copy from these thin little strip shreds.
Cannot praise this awesome little life saver enough!! Highly recommend!

I got this recently for my end of the year cleaning , and not only has already shred about 4 large trash backs worth of paper, but i have also try other thicker things trough that would have damage any other blades but with this one did just fine. can be a bit noisy when operating ,and while the basket is small the extension allowed to adapted to a very large basket. i am very happy with it and i would recommended to any one with copious amounts of shredding to do. i do love the fact that can shred both CDs and Credit cards since some of mine CDs have very confidential info and i cut my self several times in the past braking them by hand, a most have.Customer Review: A great shredder

I love this shredder. Granted, what people are saying is true, that the basket is too small if you have a considerable amount of shredding to do, but I use a wastepaper basket that I bought and that works great. The shredder itself keeps pumping the paper through. The other day I must have shredded 500 old bills (with a 5-10 minute break every 50-75 pages) and not 1 paper jam or shut down. So far, I must have shredded 2000 pieces and it is still shredding like a champ. I haven't used the CD/DVD/Credit card shredder so I cannot critique that aspect. But seriously, if you need a cheap, durable shredder...this is the way to go.Customer Review: A Tough Little Shredder

So we unpacked this little guy (it is a small unit) and immediately set to some big time shredding (stuff had been building up...). This shredder performed! No overheating issues at all. My wife would have like a diamond cut or cross cut unit, but we had terrible luck with those types of shredders (jam ups, bent blades, etc). If you are ok with plain ole thin strips of paper as the end result, having to empty the basket a bit more frequently when you are doing BIG shredding jobs, and you only want to spend $30, then this is the machine for you.
