I am as clueless about mechanical things as Obama is about creating jobs. But even I was able to set up the shredder in a snap (literally). It works beautifully and is much better than what I expected for the price. However, it is designed for low-volume projects only. If you're shredding large numbers of documents regularly to, say, hide your background and birth records from the public and the press, you'll need a much higher-volume unit.Customer Review: Great Little Shredder

Works great. If you are shredding full sheets of paper, you have to fold them in half (vertically) so the paper will fit. The most I have shredded at once is 3 or 4 sheets, doubled over. It seemed like it was going to choke on it, but it kept on shredding. This is perfect for what I need, which is basically just shredding bills and other items with personal info. Also does credit cards... I have used it to shred one card with no problems.Customer Review: Great Product

I think this is a great product, especially for the money. Yes, you have to fold the piece of paper in half before shredding. Other than that, it is perfect for home use. It's small enough for the desk top or just under. The only negative I have is the product description is misleading. It states that it is a "4-sheet" shredder. On the enclosed manual it clarifies that "One folded sheet of paper equates to 2 sheets of paper".Customer Review: Great bang for you buck...and the size is right.

This product is small and great for junk mail. You cant drop in unopened junk mail, you need to open it up. It does not fill up quickly either. For the average person only shredding the sensitive parts of your junk mail you should only need to empty it every month or two. All in all a great buy. I would also suggest picking up some shredder oil. A bottle will last the life of this product and only run you around 5 bucks.Customer Review: Great for what it is

This is a nice, unobtrusive little shredder that sits under a coffee table. I use it to shred sensitive mail, junk mail and paper bags for my compost bin. It is perfect for what it is meant to do -- light work, easy disposal, etc. It is not the most powerful shredder out there and I wouldn't use it in a commercial office. But if you are looking for a good at-home paper shredder, you can't beat the price and the design.
