Customer Review: Portable DVD, Simple to Move from Car-to-Plane-to-Car

Excellent Portable DVD. So simple to use. My 4-year old daughter figured out how to operate it in a few minutes. The Car Kit works great. It's self-contained and easily moved from one car to another. We just hang it over the back of the front-seat headrest and she can see and operate it by herself from her car seat in the back. We do the same thing when we fly.
The dual headphones are nice. Two kids can watch a video at the same without mom and dad having to listen to it (for the 100th time!!!). The headphones fold and adjust to fit both kids and adults. We haven't used it enough to comment on the durability of the headphones; but any standard headphone will work with the unit if they need to be replaced in the future.
You have the option of using the DVD player with a wall plug, a car cigarette lighter/cell phone charger plug, or by its' own internal battery power. All of the power cables/adaptors are included and they fit nicely in the zippered pocket in the Car Kit. The internal battery lasts long enough to watch a full-length DVD. We haven't tried to run it any longer to see how long the battery lasts until it dies.
You can also purchase an optional RCA video cable at your local electronics store (RWY male-to-RWY male plugs) that allows you to connect the portable DVD to a full-size TV. It's great if you spend any time in hotels and would rather watch your own DVD instead of paying $15 for the hotel pay-for-view movies.
The only negative is that there should be another zippered pocket in the Car Kit for carrying extra DVDs. As it is, you can carry one DVD in the machine, but any extra DVDs must be carried separately.
Overall ... this DVD player is highly recommended. Good quality and lots of features for a reasonable price.
