I have been trying to set up something similar to this for about a year in my car now. Lets start with the good:
Pros
-Allows audio from all apps to play through audio output
-Great design
-Good fit with multiple cases
-Easy to use
-Excellent audio output out of line out
Cons
-Lighter plug is VERY tight, but still allows unit to wobble a bit
-Longer neck OR other mounting options would be nice
-Having to pay $10/month to use this with XM is a bit steep
This is a great product. Sound quality is excellent on line out. Did not try FM modulator. I love that I can listen to audio from other apps through this too. That is a major plus. I would like to see more features for my $10/month like recording of audio, easier artist tagging. Better visualizing of other channels.

I must say, this is a really cool product. I have been enjoying XM/Sirius Radio for about a month now. The Skydoc app for iPod Touch, which is the user interface for Satellite Radio, is really easy to install and use. I would definitely recommend this product to any iPod Touch or iPhone users interested in receiving Satellite in their vehicle.
I would also recommend the seller 6th Ave Electronics. They were very good. They shipped my Skydoc the same day I ordered it. Received it the next day (standard free shipping). The first Skydoc I received was defective. 6th Ave. emailed me a shipping label and instructions about returning the item. It was very simple and efficient. Upon receiving my returned item, they credited my card very quickly. I ordered another one and received it the next day.

This product works perfect with the iPhone 4, I was concerned beause I saw at [...] and this product is not listed as iP4 compatible.
I'm using as FM transmitter for streaming radios as Sirius, TuneIn, MusicDock, etc. I have the MusicDock app to use with the XM subscription because Howard Stern is not available at the official Sirius XM app.
I didn't use the satellite radio because is not available in my country, I pay for the XM Premium Internet Radio and use with my 3G data plan.
If you need a accessory to use as FM transmitter and charger this one is the best I have seen, I bought Griffin and many another brands and no one get close in quality, reliability and power transmission. I strongly recommend this product even if you don't use for satellite radio.

For someone who has criticized satellite radio for their clunky receivers and poor reception - the Skydock takes satellite radio to a new level. It is easy to set up and works flawlessly. With an aux line out to a car radio, the sound is magnificent. One of my criticisms of other plug-and-play units was their poor SQ. The FM modulator built into the Skydock works better than other modulators, but there is still a slight tinny sound; using an aux line makes all the difference.
The application for the iPhone/iPod Touch is easy to navigate. One negative is that it only has 12 presets. The presets come in very handy while driving --- it is so much easier tapping a favorite than flipping through the station list as you're zooming down the highway.

I got this from Amazon and I love using it with my iPhone 3GS. I run the Skydock through the AUX on my 2008 BMW 535i and it works great. No static at all and I get great reception even though I mounted the antenna on the inside of my car by the front windshield. The dock also works great if you just want to listen to music or watch videos since you don't have to use the Skydock app for the dock to work properly.
The only cons I have are that it is a extremely tight fit for me to get the dock into the power port on my car. I'm not sure if this is a BMW problem? Also, I couldn't get it to activated correctly online, but a phone call got it activated right away.
Overall a great dock and XM radio for the iPhone.
