Sub-A uses two identical solid Long-Grain Copper (LGC) conductors. Positive and negative conductors must be identical for minimum distorton. A 100% coverage shield insures noise-free performance. Strand interaction is the greatest single source of cable distortion; Sub-A`s solid conductors eliminate this problem. The simpler grain structure and fewer impurities within LGC copper significantly reduce distortion compared to normal high-purity copper. Gold-plated high-conductivity brass plugs are attached with specially formulated AQ Solder. While not common, sometimes there is a hum problem unless the ground of the subwoofer and ground of the receiver (or processor or preamp) are attached to each other. Sub-A includes an additional conductor with spade-lug tails at both ends of the cable. If the system has a hum problem, try attaching the lugs to the metal chassis of subwoofer amp chassis and to the chassis on the sending end.
