Customer Review: Expedient semi-solution.

My carpenter father-in-law would become ill if he saw these, but they assemble in about 15 minutes and hold my Miles Davis, Sonny Stitt, and Bill Evans CDs. The directions claim you can hang 5 trays on any door, but I'm thinking even 3 is pushing it. First, you'd have to get down on your knees to see your collection (make that down on the floor for shelves 4 and 5); second, the assembly is apt to be very unstable and rickety, even if you avail yourself of all the screw/nail holes (the second tier doesn't hang as straight as pictured unless it's screwed or nailed to the door). Bear in mind that the door is not going to open as wide as formerly (not very practical for large people who fill the threshhold space), and rather than slamming the door be prepared to get in the practice of biting your tongue. As for using one of these on a second door, maybe good enough for my Harry Connicks or Michael Bubles but not my Sinatra collection.
