These speakers are the least expensive I could find anywhere. I paid $36.99 and shipping was Free with super saver discount (would have been $11.48). Everywhere else was $50/$70+ before shipping. Sturdy metal construction (cast iron perhaps?). Includes padded felt on bottom of stands to help protect floors. All needed screws were included. Easy to assemble. Should fit most speakers.
If I had to be picky, the finish on the stands is not what I expected, somewhat rough texture (not a big deal), mine came with a few white marks on the brand name sticker on the base, but it came off easily with a damp cloth.
Only down side...I had a set of really old sony rear surround speakers that had two horizontal screw holes, but the speaker stands are set up to attach to screws in the center. Easy fix though, I had to turn my speakers sideways to make it work.
Great Buy. Well worth the price. I would definately buy these again. Hope this helps your decision.

These speaker stands are excellent quality for the price. Really sturdy, with coaster pads on the bottom mount. Took a matter of minutes to put together 4 of them (disconnecting my surround sound and re-connecting was not the same story). I love the ease of setup for these stands, I really was impressed with the heavy-duty base-mount, as we have a toddler and was worried about these getting knocked down on top of her. The front end of the mount makes these great for having the front half hidden under the couch for the back left and right speakers. The front right and left still look great with the front-end of the mount exposed, as it discretely says 'ATLANTIC' in red print. I didn't have a screw-thread in the back of my speakers to mount it to the stand, but the Stands came with double-sided small adhesive strips and they work like a charm! The extension rods make it so easy to position at just the right level for the perfect surround sound environment. Highly recommend!Customer Review: Awesome speaker stands!

Bought these stands for my JBL speakers. These stands are outstanding in every way, and I couldn't have asked for a better set of stands. The fact that they were less than $40 for two makes them that much more fantastic. The base is a good weight, and is very stable on carpet when telescoped, even for these speakers (they weigh about 15 lbs each). The stands include options for using the double-sided sticky tapes or screws to secure the speakers to the stand. I ended up drilling pilot holes into each speaker, and used the included screws to secure them to the base, which makes for a very secure, stable installation. The speaker wire is easily threaded inside the stand, to promote good cable management. The stands now make these speakers look impressive, and greatly enhanced the sound quality of them (they were originally placed on furniture, and the rear speakers on the fireplace mantle). I just received my Atlantic speaker stands this afternoon. Looks and works great with my Sony BDV-E570 surround speakers. Everything arrived in perfect condition. The instructions were very easy to follow. Thanks to some other reviews, I made sure not to overtighten the adjustment knob for the stand's extension or risk cracking it and took the time to screw the poles to the stands carefully to avoid stripping the treads. The small set of screws fit the screw hole in the back of the speakers perfectly. The speakers fit well with the L shape bracket, but because I wanted a near "perfect" fit, I used a hacksaw and shorten the bracket by a 1/4". The fit, finish, looks and overall quality of this stand is well worth the price. Before buying I checked on-line and visited the big box stores and these were the best for my speakers; especially how the mounting bracket is designed. Like other people here I bought these stands for my Polk Audio RM6750 satelite speakers. Just like previous reviews I had to modify the bracket on the back to fit my speakers. It would work fine if my speakers were square in the back but they are not. The bracket is a steel rod formed in a L-shape. Modifying it was easy I just flatened out the steel bracket in a vise, cut off about 3 inchs on each side, and then reshaped the L. It was real easy and worked perfectly. The stands are sturdy and look great. I have seen other stands that are more than double the price of these. Don't worry I thought paying so much less for these had to mean that they would be cheap and weak but they are not. The base, rod, speaker platform and bracket are all steel. The only plastic part is the knob used to adjust the height but don't worry even that works great. Great stand for half the price of others.
