Useful, but just tricky enough to remove from vent to discourage frequent removal. Why would you want to? While attached, it's almost impossible to adjust the air vent. It's probably inconspicuous enough, compared to suction cup on windshield, that only a highly observant potential thief would notice it. Once attached, it feels flimsy, but it holds up fine. Overall, a nice option at a reasonable price.
