The Archos 605 is probably the best Media Player I have ever bought. Its not so much of a brick (consider that my hands are kinda small) and its more than enough capacity for me. After trying to find another option in the market I decided to go with this product because of its functionality. The battery life is a little less than expected, but I have used it for music for 12 hours straight and I havent had any problems.
The service on Amazon.com was also great. The delivery was right on time the packages were sealed and I was able to monitor my purchase all the time. It was just a breeze to buy it here.... I totally recomend this product.....

This is an amazing Portable media player. Once you get the firmware update (which if you don't get it seems like a paperweight) then you have many options at your hand. This PMP gets pricy after plug-in and other optional add-ons that seem like they should have come with it. I bought the Mini-Dock shortly after I bought the 605 because if you use it while charging USB it will die and it doesn't come with an AC charger. The Wifi is really simple to setup and use with the on screen QWERTY keyboard. After the plug-ins and external devices you can get, this is an amazing media player but to unlock it's potential, you'll need to fork up a pretty penny.Customer Review: Fantastic Screen and Video Player

I've had my archos for a few weeks now, which means I've seen the ipod touch as well. Well lets be honest - most people will want this device for video mostly. So, for video purposes there is NO comparison, the Archos blows away any apple product in terms of resolution (and brightness). I've seen them side by side. The screen on the archos also has less glare, plus the kickstand is really handy.
Now the archos is not as portable (having a larger screen and hard drive), but the ability to have 40-50 movies on it is at once is also a huge plus. Lastly, at the price it can't be beat. I love it.

first off i would like to let you know that i am writing this review on my archos 605 using its wifi capabilities! this player is everything you ever wanted on a portable player. plenty space for music video pictures compared to the ipod. everything is on par with this unit. only problem is battery life. it isn't as good as the factory says in terms of hours of usage per charge but it preety close. i would say about 14 hours of music and 5 hours for video. besides that little issue everything else is good. would recommend to anyone.Customer Review: Archos 605 80gb Portable Multi Media Player
