This is my second flood-stop system. We had a hose break 10 years ago and ruin the carpet. I bought a $90 flood-stop soon after and installed it. The first system had straight hose connections, so I had to have a few inches of clearance behind the washer to accomidate the bend. The solenoid on the hot water failed, so I needed to replace the flood stop. The new one cost $130, but I needed one. New one has better looking solenoids; the hose connection is a 90-degree bend which is easier on the hoses; and there is a connector between the control unit and the solenoids, making replacement easier. The addition of a switch to shut down the water by pressing a button is also appreciated.
Overall, the new flood stop is well worth the money.
