These wires are not Apple Brand products, but so what. The Apple wires are super-cheap and wear out within a year with average use. AT&T and Apple will replace the wires for free, but if you need extras or you lose it you can spend $20-$30 on a single wire that you may or may not also have to replace within the next year! For under $2 This product works perfectly and feels as study, if not more so than the Apple factory-provided wire!
I was weary of buying these types of products for a long time. I was always buying $20-$25 Belkin or Apple brand wires to make sure they worked, lasted, and didn't hurt my iPhone. About 4 weeks ago, however, one of my Belkin wires randomly became useless. It was working when I plugged it in the night before. When I woke up the next morning my iPhone hadn't moved yet somehow was refusing to register the attached wire at all. So I had to switch it out for the factory issue Apple wire. I no longer trust my other Belkin wires very much.
I shopped around for other brands and discovered many listings for super-cheap replacements. I didn't want to spend another $20 for something that isn't guaranteed to work or last, so I decided to stage an experiment. I ordered doubles of 3 wires to dock and charge my iPhone, each between $1 and $2. I was expecting that some or all of the wires would not work or would be extremely cheap and I would be fine with sending them back for a refund. But in the end I spent less than $11 and I got 6 perfectly fine wires that seem as sturdy as the Belkin wires and sturdier than the apple wires. All have worked fine since I ordered them!
