I'm a recent purchaser of the iPod touch and I must say that I am very satified with my choice. There are several features which help make my decision to buy this product, among which is internet accessability. The convienience of Wi-Fi makes it easy to log on nearly anywhere you go to check e-mail and retrieve information.
I like the calendar and notes features... which makes it easy to update information without having to search for writing materials.
I also find that I'm using Google maps feature more often. If I plug in the address before leaving home, I can access the information while enroute to my destination.
If you're like me and don't need the cell phone feature of an iPhone, the iTouch is a good compromise.
I recommend the iPod touch for anyone on the go.

A couple of years ago I bought a Square Trade warranty for my son's IPOD touch. I also added the accidental damage coverage for a little bit more. In the meantime, because I changed my e-mail address, and could no longer find the warranty information to see if it had expired, because it stopped working. I contacted Square Trade about the warranty and they found it, verified it was mine, asked what was wrong with the Ipod, and sent me the mailing label, so all I had to do was pack it up. Then...about a week later, I received a check for the purchase price of the item, which had reduced in price. Customer service is incredibly competent, kind, knowledgeable and communicative. This is an awesome product and has almost all functions I want. I bought a 16GB version and put a lot of my kids' photos and videos on it. I can watch the photo slide show while playing mp3. The mail and map is a huge plus. Now, I am waiting to see if there is any 3rd party instant messenger software for the ipod touch.
Pros:
Wi-Fi, Safari, Mail, Map, Calendar, Contacts, Youtube, photo, video.
Screen size is good enough for safari browsing.
Cons:
No native doc/pdf viewer.

This is one of the greatest products I've ever owned right next to the iPhone. It's ridiculously speedy and surprisingly different from the iPhone. It's not just an iPhone without the phone. Somehow it just feels completely different, even though it's basically the same. Maybe it's the fact that there is no cell network it can join, so it feels faster because it can only connect to faster Wi-Fi. It's smaller in all dimensions, especially thinness. It's ludicrously thin, almost unbelievable. If you Jailbreak it you can block ads and bootleg applications. The only, ONLY cons I can think of are that it has no microphone, and the edges are so sharp that it digs into your hand a little bit and doesn't feel so nice.Customer Review: Great Ipod but problems

First Ipod I ever bought. I am not a fan of apple, but after doing significant research i realized the ipod touch is just so inferior to any other mp3 player. Ipod worked great for the first week then whenever i was on safari or youtube it would randomly exit out of the browser. I would load browser up again and yet again it would exit out of it to the main screen. I kept trying it and it kept doing it so i returned it. I am waiting for my new one but if this one doesnt work either i will start to get a little agitated.The ipod touch is just so much better than anything else out there. The samsung p2 has its problem as well as some of the creative ones. I just knew it would be a great product and it is.
