I'm not sure what I did before it. I don't know how to function without it. I highly recommend it.
That it being, Apple's iPod Touch. As Apple says, "The funnest IPod ever!" Fun is exactly what this iPod is. You can listen to music, watch movies, surf the web, check the weather, play games, and so much more.
The design is sleek and stylish. I think the 2nd generation's body is a bit slimmer. The screen quality is flawless. I recommend the newer version because of software upgrades and some features that are missing in the 1st generation.
Either way new or old this is a purchase, you won't regret. The only "bad" thing I can say is the battery life is good if you're just listening to music. When you start surfing the web and playing games it eats it up. Every once in a while your screen may freeze, nothing major though.
Overall, this iPod is the thing to have. This would make a great gift for all ages. Fun for everyone with the iPod Touch! (JRS)

Even though I didn't buy the ipod with the software upgrade I did indeed purchase it from itunes...but anyways this review is about the ipod touch itself. I actually like this ipod very much I have had since they came out in mid September late October I believe it was. I haven't had any problems what so ever with this ipod. I actually am able to see youtube videos through this and also go online. I use this at school where I get free wi-fi and its great. Speed is great, quality is great I just wish it wasn't too pricey but it's worth it. Overall I like that it won't scratch the screen but the back interface does scratch quite easily but that is easily fixed by buying a case and keeping it in there. Overall I would recommend this product to anyone who wants an ipod but wants to have the same interface as the iphone. cause unlike the iphone this ipod doesn't cost too much to use it..and its all its worth in my opinion.Customer Review: I'm finally cool!

Apple iPod touch 8 GB with Software Upgrade I'm a 57 year old high school art teacher and the envy of my students--and I teach at a private school! Of course, ipods are not allowed in class, but I sure get mileage out of mine after school grading their art work--as well as at home.
I purchased the touch screen, because I'd had trouble controlling the little circle thingy that the students had (the ones I took away from them for having in class, of course), and I figured that pictures were right up my alley as an artist.
It's still new to me, but I've had no trouble getting all my music and pictures downloaded from my computer. And, come September (when school starts, again), I'll have 120 willing subjects who will gladly show me how to do more!

if you bought the 1st gen ipod touch you should get the apps update its 10 bucks and its the coolest thing ever with all the free games you can play.. the only downside is apple.. the product itself is amazing but the service ive dealt with thru apple is not the greatest (not amazons fault thats why i still gave it a 5) i recommend that if your going to buy a 300 dollar ipod that you look into the care plan because my ipod does not work (never realized it till i got the update) but theres a 1 inch bar right in the middle of my screen that does not work. and its 8 months old and apple dont do ANYTHING to it unless i give them 30 some bucks.. and then and only then will i get a REFURB. the warranty is not what they say it is so either get the care plan (its worth it) or dont try and get a new one if it breaks.or stops workingCustomer Review: Amazing!

I bought this iPod back in January to replace a dying 1st Generation Nano. The two are nothing alike. The Touch destroys any other iPod in comparison, and is certainly worth the money. As long as you have WiFi access, this is a must have for people who enjoy convenience. I love the simplicity of the Safari Browser and Youtube apps. The videos I downloaded, and the ones on Youtube look amazing on a nice wide display, and I love the newly amplified sound of music. If you're easily amused (God knows I am) you'll be excited every time you touch the screen and make something happen. I haven't tested the iTunes app on it, because I get my music elsewhere, but I assume it works great. Anyone can use this device. When you buy it, just plug it in, find your Router password, and you're good to go! The iTouch is an amazing device!
