I am a first time apple customer. My previous mp3 player is the 8GB Ceative Zen. I decided to try something different for my music. The iPod Touch 16GB arrived on time (with the two day order option on Amazon).
First, I am able to transfer my current music from the Creative Zen to the iPod Touch.
Second, the volume is great! This device has a clear sound without static. There are several options available to change the tone and pitch of the music's sound.
Third, the WiFi technology automatically finds an available network for connecting to the Internet.
Fourth, the only negative part of this purchase are the awkwardly large earphones that Apple includes with this device. However, a more comfortable pair can be purchased.
This is a five star device!!
Amazon has good cases for this device to prevent scratches.

I bought this item from amazon and had it brought over from the US to Ecuador by a friend of mine a couple months ago.
I really enjoyed my iPod until I realized that during one of my travels the volume button was damaged probably when it was in my backpack. I was actually a bit upset because I had taken such great care of it.
My idea was actually to pay for a replacement of the button, if possible... I took it to an authorized tech center here in Ecuador and without even asking for it, they told me that I could get a replacement of the entire unit under warranty within 2 weeks.
It took less than a week for them to call me back and let me know that the new unit was already here.
Props to Apple for this kind of worldwide service. I am now definitely considering getting my hands on more apple products. Bravo to them!

This is easily the greatest Christmas gift I have received in 37 years of Christmas presents. This iPod (the 8th one I have owned) is the cream of the crop for Apple. It has replaced all devices in my life for being organized (and I did not get the iPhone because I hate cell phones).
The wireless on this is fantastic. I used it on a road trip across New England and every rest-stop had WiFi - so I was always able to check up coming traffic, check up on email, what have you. I am never too far from wireless connections, so this just makes sense.
At home, I don't even have to get off the couch!! I VNC into my MacPro and can remotely run anything on there I want. I also love being able to remote-control my MacPro's iTunes from anywhere in the house/yard with a flick of the thumb.
Best gadget ever. You need this.

After 1 month since i bought my iPod Touch 32Gb 2nd Generation, i'm really happy. It is working very well, the battery lasts as long as advertised and sound quality is excellent. The volume control buttons are a good improvement vs the 1st Generation. The Apps work very well on it.
As with my iPod Video 30Gb 5.5 Gen, i bought a silicone case to put 'em ia soon as i opened the package because is the best way to keep it's resale value.
If you want to skip and/or change tracks in the blind way (I.E. while in Metro, bus, street, etc) i suggest you not to buy this.
32 Gb is enough for me today, maybe in a couple years i will liik for more capacity, but now is ok for me. 14Gb of music, a couple of movies, more than 2000 photos, a lot of video podcasts, an about 60 apps, and still 12 Gb free.
Conclusion: i recommend it.

This product is one of my favorite inventions ever. It is incredibly easy to use. My daughter knew how to use it in a week when she was a year and a half old. They are durable. When you have a child it is worth an extra cost if it means that your child won't break it easily. It has also come in very handy when my family goes out anywhere. I download videos from itunes of my daughters favorite cartoons and she can be entertained for hours anywhere. She can watch spongebob while we are shopping and I don't need to hear about all the things she thinks I should buy. On top of that when I have to be away from my family I have all my pictures on there so they can be near me. I never have to be bored waiting anywhere because of all the apps and it also has all of the other benefits of a normal mp3 player including a great amount of song storage.
