Customer Review: Worth the price just for internet radio alone!
Summary: 5 Stars

I'll just start by saying that the Ipod Touch is the GREATEST gadget invented so far in the new millennium!

I actually bought this to replace my Ipod Nano that got thrown in the washing machine. I was also researching the past few weeks to invest in a $600 Tivoli wi-fi radio unit for my bedroom since I'm obsessed with internet radio on iTunes. I was crazy to consider that and I'm glad I didn't bother, because the Ipod Touch has several internet radio applications which broadcast 1000's of stations around the world that work wonderfully paired with my Audioengine A5 speakers (GREAT Ipod speakers by the way, I HIGHLY recommend them!!!). Many stations broadcast in 128 kbps which is near CD quality sound. The AOL Radio app makes the best use of the touch screen and when you hear a song you like you can choose to save it and buy the song/album directly off iTunes. I wanted to satisfy my need for NPR and modern classical radio and I've discovered so much great new music that I can't keep up with it all!

I also downloaded a Philippine Classical Music radio app from iTunes onto my Touch which my mother absolutely LOVES. She's technologically illiterate but she is amazed that she can listen 24/7 to songs from her childhood in the Philippines that she has long forgotten about.

Audiobooks are also much better on the Touch compared to the Nano, because the chapters are displayed and easier to keep track of.

Get an Ipod Touch now!

BTW, the 1st Gen. Bose Sounddock will not charge the Ipod Touch 2nd Gen. when it's in the cradle!

Customer Review: Never Leave Home Without It
Summary: 5 Stars

I've pretty much determined that if this iPod was actually an iPhone, you could probably rule the world with it!

I've had my iPod Touch for 7 or so months now, and it's survived a 13 day trip to England and Scotland, and 6 months of commuting. And I'm pretty sure I would not have survived without it. I've listened to music, searched the internet, updated facebook and twitter by mooching off the wireless from the office next door, and watched several TV series (beginning with Freaks and Geeks through my current viewings of BBC's Skins). I like that it can do a little bit of everything and looks sleek and sophisticated at the same time. It's thin, so it easily can fit into a pocket, or in a small purse. It's this factor that makes it easy for me to take shopping. It deters overly helpful sales clerks.

I've just upgraded the software operating system to the newly released iPhone for iPod Touch 2G. It adds some very helpful quirks such as a horizontal keyboard for emails, voice memos (only if you have a microphone you can do it with), you can now DL videos on your iPod vs. DLing them on iTunes and then transferring. Plus, there's the super awesome shuffle shake.

I was a bit worried about scratching my screen, so I HIGHLY RECOMMEND getting a screen shield, no make what case you get for it. I'm currently using the DLo Rubber case with earphone jacks. But since my iPod gets shoved into my bag a lot, I bought the DLo Leather Folio. With both I've used a screen protector, and they don't alter or distort the images on the screen.

Customer Review: got the 16gb
Summary: 5 Stars

well I bought this about a week ago, so far I love it! I've been deciding whether to get the 8gb or 16gb and so i just decided to get 16gb....if you are in this dilemma..I'd say if you don't have too much music and videos, get 8...because I barely used less than 4 gb and I have like 4 hours of video, about 600 songs, ton of apps, and a few pics. There's still lots of room left over which I like :] It will fill up in a few months..
The touch screen is really good compared to other touch screen products that I have used...its very precise and sensitive. Screen is beautiful, speakers are a bit weak but its ok....I'll list some pros and cons:

PROS:
-nice design
-good touch screen
-easy to use
-light
-FUN apps...could spend hours on it

CONS:
-easy to scratch
-speakers weak
-gets annoying to always have to look at it to press next song or pause..it should have buttons. I don't think it would really hurt the design..put it on the side or something like the volume.
-battery doesn't last too long...only if you listen to music then it lasts a good amount
-pricey $$$
-should have a camera...I REALLY wish it had one

umm....that's about it :]
When I think of anymore...I'll update it

~UPDATE! 10/3/09

so I'm so happy I didnt get the 8 GB because my 16 GB is almost all filled up already! I have only 4.6 GB left! and I knew a new iPod Touch would come out! :[ I could've gotten double the GB for the price but oh wells... :[

Customer Review: iPod Touch - Best Toy Ever
Summary: 5 Stars

Yes, "toy." Being over 40, I can't justify buying the iPod Touch as anything other than a toy. Granted, it has email and calendaring (my job recently went to Exchange and it works seamlessly out of the box!), but I like it mostly for staying in touch via the free Facebook App, free AIM App, and free LinkedIn App!

As I didn't want to get a new phone service, and I'm not a big cell phone user anyway...I didn't want a phone - so the Touch was a perfect option. I LOVE the Video capability. I'm a movie lover so, the ability to rent, buy, and download movies to my Touch is AWESOME. The quality is excellent! Photos are also excellent. I've spent the first two months checking out, and acquiring FREE Apps from the App Store. There are so many to choose from, I figured I'd try them before I looked to buy any. I ended up with Ebay, Weather Bug, White and Yellow Pages Apps.

The iPod Touch (16gb) is DEFINITELY one of the best (if not THE best) purchase I've made in recent memory!

Some must buy accessories (wouldn't it be great if it came with them?) - A case (something so I don't worry as much about dropping it from my hand), A screen protector (you'll want extra wipes so you can keep the screen pristine for those movies), and an adapter for charging the Touch in your car or through a wall socket.

I'm pretty spend-thrifty, but I like this toy enough that I know already, if it were to be lost, stolen or destroyed - I'd run out and buy another one!

Customer Review: iPod Touch 2nd Generation
Summary: 5 Stars

Apple iPod touch 16 GB (2nd Generation) NEWEST MODEL

I did not think I would want an iPod Touch. I have an iPod Nano and use it only occasionally. However, I went to Apple just to see what it was, and decided I HAD to have one because it was so cool. I have not been disappointed. Other than take pictures and make phone calls (get an iPhone if you want that and want to be stuck with AT&T as your only choice for a carrier), this thing is limitless in what it can do. I love it and have to say that it is probably one of the most innovative electronic gadgets to come out in years. I use it to listen to music, but I have downloaded some fantastic free programs that help me lose weight as well as let me know menus from many restaurants so that I can make informed decisions when eating out. A program that I bought (most programs are no more than $2.99 and most are less)is a very accurate pedometer. It tells me the distance I walked, how many steps I have taken, and how many calories I burned.

I have played games, and I have to tell you that the graphics are unbelievable. Also, you can easily surf the web as long as you have an internet connection available...FREE...no other subscriptions. It is so light and thin that you sometimes wonder if you dropped it somewhere. This is truly one of the greatest "toys", and it is so easy to use. I highly recommend this!
