Customer Review: Boy, I love this little device!

This is my first iPod. At first I was looking for something small that I can show my baby's pictures around. Even though iPod touch is not cheap but it has a large display and it is very small, and that's exactly what I need.
After purchasing it, I realized I can use it as a PDA as well. It sync up with my outlook calendar, I can check my GMail, and I can even check my company e-mail from browser! And I can use Google map to check traffic condition before leaving the office. I used to carry my laptop computer around the office a lot, but now I just need my iPod!
I really like its interface. It is just simply cool! Many of my friends download the hacked version of s/w and they can run a lot more s/w in their iPod/iPhone. But since I use my iPod to check e-mail as well I think I'll stay with what I have now.
Another thing I really like is the Podcasts feature. I've subscribed to one Podcast about tips for Photoshop, free of charge!
Well, there are a few things I don't like about this iPod touch, though:
1. You cannot copy/paste in the browser. I really hope they will support this basic function soon...
2. You cannot download games to iPod Touch, unless you use the hacked version.
3. It would be nice if it has a speaker.
4. It would be nice if it supports Bluetooth.

Recieved the ipod touch for my birthday and was and still am very pleased with the device. I really love the wi-fi connectivity, though certain plug ins like flash and the like don't work in the browser... yet anyway, so in line videos for example don't work on websites from my experience.
I'm a newbee to itunes with regards to databasing pod casts and such, so I am having problems sorting out my pod casts because they don't show up directly in the podcast link on the "ipod touch's" music section. I ended up creating a playlist for my pod casts.
You can get additional features like facebook. Typing on the screen is a learning process, but I like the editing feature where moving your finger around text shows a magnifying glass of your text enlarged. I wish some alternate keys like commas were directly accessable, but it's a learning curve.
Videos on the unit are really great but I think your arm will get sore holding the unit up in front of your face while you watch it. The little acrylic stand is cool, but not always practical for watching. (like lying in a tent, or reclining in bed.)
Having an i-pod compatable stereo really makes this unit shine as opposed to always having it playing directly in your ear.
In all, I'm still loving it well after a month of ownership.

The iPod touch has it all- Internet access, music, videos, and everything else you can ask for in an iPod. Simply put, if you're wanting an iPod, this is the real dea. I'm sure the new Nanos coming out will be fantastic, but nothing will ever come close to this. I can't believe this has been out for over a year now, because this still feels brand new as if it just got released. I got myself one of these and I can't stop listening to it!
PROS:
-Touch screen has brightness adjustment
-Album cover visible while listening to music
-Cover flow is great, you can pick whatever album you want
-iTunes is included
-Comes with something if you wanna blast it through a huge speaker
-iBuds have been improved a bit, they fit in your ear much better
-YouTube is incredibly fast
-Safari is really fun, you can go on whatever website
-Great video quality
CONS:
-Sometimes the font on websites can be annoyingly small
-facebook goes automatically to iPhone
-Battery life is annoyingly short (though I guess this is understandable since the backlight is always on)
Aside from those cons, this is a beautiful thing. This is something I'm glad I bought, it's amazing. If you need an iPod really bad, buy one of these!

I love my iPod Touch!!! It is wonderful! I have not had any issues with it, it works great. It is a breeze to add items, delete items, play, etc. I like the touch option, that is great. I think the picture quality on the screen is really good. I watch movies on it all the time now and don't have any viewing problems. The colors are awesome and really pop out at you.
I like the datebook option, it is much easier to use then previous iPods. The internet works great, pretty fast for such a small devise.
The one thing I would suggest is to purchase a skin when you buy this product, the fingerprints accumulate VERY fast and just make the back look dirty. I bought a skin the 2nd day I owned it.
The battery isn't bad, I use my iPod through the day then charge it at night. I don't the internet option all day though so I am not sure if the battery dies quicker when you do. Usually if I am listening to music, watching a movie or playing a game I can do that all day and still have about 1/3 of battery left when I plug it in at night.
I love putting pictures on it, that is really cool. Plus when you turn the iPod, the picture will change from portrait to landscape, that is cool.
I do not regret purchasing this item. It is awesome and well worth it.

I used this mainly as a source to watch portable videos, music, and as an alarm clock and calender and such. The amount of applications that you can put on is vast and a lot of them are free which are cool. I would think 8gb was enough for me because I had about 3 full movies and about 20 mp3 albums on mine and it still didn't touch the storage space. If your looking for a PDA, music, video, calender and such, look no further. I would suggest getting the 2nd generation iTouch they have now because it has an external speaker as well as headphones. The first gen you can only use headphones to listen to sound. The 2nd generation is also smaller and a little better software updated I believe. I am just reviewing this one because this is the one I bought when I had it. The touch screen is amazing and this is the device that made me fall in love with Apple. Their macbooks are nice, but the performance is not up to par on how much they cost. I would definately buy Apple Accessories like this again though, I was thinking about getting the 2nd gen because I sold my first gen. Maybe when they come down in price a little. Anyways, if you want a great mp3 player, look no further this is the best product you will find, it's simply amazing.
