I got the model shuffle after this one and you can't even organize what order the songs go into! So I returned it and went online and bought this one used, since Apple isn't selling it anymore. My husband has one too, and we both love it. The iPod shuffle is a great iPod in that it's built for simplicity while exercising or working outside. It's lightweight and clips on very easily. No, it doesn't play video, have a touch screen, etc., but that's not what it's made for. It's made for listening on the go. So yes, it's the old version, but it's a great one, and we love the one we have and highly recommend it.Customer Review: Very Handy

I already had a large iPod for keeping all of my music, but it was too bulky to use when working out. I bought the shuffle, and it has been perfect for whenever I need my music to be more portable. It has worked perfectly so far, and is very straight forward: just add the songs you want and go. First Ipod I have owned and I love it! I rec'd it from my husband as a Christmas gift 2008. I like the clip, so I don't have to hunt for an arm band. The only drawback is I want to purchase all my favorite songs at once! I would recommend this to anyone. I will have to buy different ear phones 'cause these just don't fit very well. This thing is soooo handy. It's uber light and holds a totally decent amount of tunes, especially if you use it for short term things like running or cycling. Obviously you won't use this for transatlantic plane rides since the battery only goes for a few hours, but it's a solid supplement to your regular ipod. Definintely worth the 40 dollars.
