What is there to say about the iPod shuffle that hasn't already been said in the other 300+ reviews?
So here are the five things *I* like best about it:
It's small and lightweight and goes right into my shirt pocket.
It's inexpensive so if i lose or break it or if it is stolen no big deal.
I can use the controls without looking at it.
It holds just the right amount of music.
Sand doesn't mess it up at the beach.
The charge lasts a long time.
Okay, so that's six.
Anyway, I've had my shuffle for 2 1/2 years and I still love it.

I got this for use at the gym. I clip it on my collar, and it's fine, stays there, does what it should. This is my big leap into the 21st century, so I'm still adjusting. I haven't timed it, but I don't know if the battery stays charged for as long as it claims. It's still good. My only beef is with the earbuds. They're of good sound quality, maybe too much bass, but that's a small quibble. I just wish they stayed in place while I'm running. I find myself adjusting them a lot, and when I sweat, they just pop right out. I wound up buying some other clip-ons this week. Still, worth it to me.Customer Review: 1GB iPod Shuffle - PURPLE!!!

I've had a 2nd generation iPod shuffle for almost a year and love mine. When Apple came out with the new purple color as part of its 3rd generation, I knew it was time to get one for my wife. She had been using one of the older 1st generation iPod shuffles as her workout mp3 player. I gave this to her for Christmas and she loves it! Not only does she listen to it when we're working out, she takes it with her on trips as well.
The 3rd generation iPod shuffle is a very cool, go-anywhere gadget that is extremely easy to operate. I highly recommend one!!!

Easily syncs to iTunes and allows my workout playlist to go with me whenever I workout. Very portable but the hard drive is too small to hold most music libraries. Really designed for a playlist.
I have a video ipod that I use to hold my entire library, display video content, and play in the car but the large size makes it less useful for working out and running. The compact shuffle is great for working out. Another option, assuming price is less of an object, is purchasing a Nano that affords both video/audio + is relatively compact.

I bought my ipod shuffle about six months ago because I liked the fact that is was so small. Once I had all the music on it, I asked my husband to listen to it for a minute. He liked the sound so much, he wouldn't give it back to me! I bought another shuffle for him for Christmas. The sound is great, and it is perfect to take jogging or hiking. I carry it with me all the time. The clip works very well. I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't need all the bells and whisles, just great sound that is not complicated.
