By far, the best iPod I have had the chance to use. I would have saved to get the 8GB, but I'm cheap. Unfortunately, there aren't any cases available as of this writing. And thats the big let down. Already I have a few small scratches, and thats not good in my book. Anyway, I love how the nano can finnaly play video. At first, I thought it wouldn't be easy watching an episode of Heroes or LOST on a 2 inch screen, but then I watched it. AWSOME. Unfortunately, most of the shows have widescreen, making the already small screen even smaller, though I hear you can change the aspect ratio. Anyway, best iPod ever, at least until the iPod Touch comes out.
Bonus points for it getting people to talk to me.

My kids bought me the Nano so I would have something to listen to while recovering from a bad fall and stuck in the hospital looking at weeks of rehab. Being able to listen to music, download books from audible - dozens so far - and movies all in this little plastic box is incredible. The screen is sharp, the sound crisp, I'm finally in the 21st century. It is so easy to download, delete and reassemble in preferred order that it is almost unbelievable. I use it daily, and it helped speed up my recovery. Apple guys, you are geniuses. It is hands down the best present my two kids have ever given me. I was very pleased with the quick shipping of this product. Amazon always does a great job. My husband travels a lot, and always seems to get stuck in airports for hours at a time. He has a 2GB MP3 player, but he wanted something bigger to hold a ton of music, so he doesn't have to hear the same song in one day. I bought the ipod to solve this problem. It's easy to use, plus with it's slim, design he can put it anywhere without being in the way. I was very pleased with the bonus we got through Amazon for buying it at that particular time. My mom is 89 and had just lost her "buddy" a few months ago. She was very lonely and missed their talks about the depression and World War 2 and missed the "big band" sound of the times. She would say, "if I could only listen to that music every day it would give me such joy". Her stereo and CD system didn't work at the time and the radio wasn't playing this type of music very often. So, I decided to get her a Nano Ipod for Mothers Day. My son downloaded the music from her list and showed Mom how to use it. This is one of the best products I've ever bought. I have had a sansa before and it SUCKS. The reason apple ipods are top sellers is because they put the best equipment in there. my 4 gb ipod had a 320x240 screen, and an incredible processor. Everything is so smooth. It is great looking at videos and photos, and music is a breeze (love the cover flow feature). All this in the thinnest electronic device I ever bought. My only complaint is when using the shuffle songs feature, I hear a lot of the same songs each time I do it, and it doesnt seem very random. Other than that, it is an incredible device. Go buy it.
