I am a 45 year old mother who was diagnosed with breast cancer this winter. I decided if I had to do chemotherapy, I needed a TREAT to make it more tolerable. I bought what I see as the Cadillac of iPods and it has not disappointed. I have movies and podcasts to entertain me, and music and audiobooks to soothe me. I did drop my iPod, but I ran to the nearest Apple store where I was treated like a good friend (even though I felt like an idiot)and it was fixed in literally MINUTES. I would recommend this to anyone who would listen. And if you have someone you love is facing a similar crisis, consider getting one as a gift.Customer Review: I finally bit the bullet!

I have been wanting an iPod for a while now, but was hesitant because of the cost. I finally bit the bullet and it is wonderful! I highly recommend the classic for first time buyers because it has everything you need in an easy to use interface. I have a long commute to and from work and primarily use my classic for audiobooks and podcasts. And let me tell you, at 80GB, it will be years before I fill it up and have to worry about removing anything! And using it in this fashion, a charge will last most of the week, although when the kids use it for videos the battery drains faster.
Definitely a must buy.

Apple 80 GB iPod classic (Black)
It just gets better and better. I got the 80GB. Thinner and lighter than my 60GB with video, and the navigation is superior. I really enjoy cover flow. I can finally get my entire music library, over 1000 CDs, on one tiny device. Amazing. Those who do videos may want to spring for the 160GB version, but this meets my needs perfectly. The new iPod touch is impressive, too, but the capacity is too limited. When Apple comes out with the 80GB model I'll be the first in line.

This is an excellent product. We originally purchased an 80 GB Zune and were not even able to download the software needed to use it. After 30 days and many frustrating hours, we returned it and purchased the 80 GB iPod Classic. From unopened box to music -- 10 minutes. It is very easy to use and we have had absolutely no problems with it. My husband takes it on business trips and uses it with a clock radio/alarm docking station at home. I personally have the old school 1 GB Shuffle but have to admit having the menu features and ability to scroll through albums and songs is a really nice feature.Customer Review: Music to My Ears

When my Creative Vision Zen M fried, I needed a replacement - quick. I was away at school and needed something to drown out my noisy downstairs neighbors. I decided to go with the original this time, and I am very pleased. The iPod, with all things Apple, is like driving a Cadillac after years of driving a Chevy - beautiful to behold, and a pleasure to "drive." Sound and video quality are superb. My only complaint is the amazingly thin body and polish rear surface, which makes the iPod a tad difficult to hang onto in arthritic hands. But all in all, I am very pleased and would buy another.
