Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Apple iPod classic 80 GB Black (6th Generation) OLD MODELCustomer Review: Excellent Product Summary: 5 Stars
I received this product as a gift recently and I absolutely love it. I have an older model (ipod nano generation 2) and this one has much better improvements.
The design is very sleek with no buttons sticking out. I was surprise of the size of it; very small and could be carried around easily. The screen resolution is great with vibrate colors and text can be easily be read.
The controls are very simple: just slide your finger on the wheel to select your music and press play. I love how the button are clearly labeled; it's very intuitive.
The graphical interface are easy to understand. You have a main menu to choose from: Music, Video etc. The songs are listed in order for easy access. My old Nano ipod doesn't play videos and with this, watching movies on the road is a blast.
The give this produce a 4 stars out of 5. It would be nice to have an expansive slot for increase memory and a compartment to replace batteries.
Overall this product deserves high recognition.
Customer Review: if i could only go up to 11 Summary: 5 Stars
i would give this product an 11. i dont watch much vidoes or listen to many podcasts, but this thing at only 80 gigs has more music than i could ever listen to. one downfall is that the scroll wheel seems to function odd if you have damp or sweaty hands like i get at work. other than that its top notch. works well with linux (ubuntu) and windows (often at the same time IE: put your windows mp3s in, plug in into unbuntu comp. put your stuff on. no compatibility problems! ive dropped it many times with no case on it and it works great still not as sleek but you wont notice
Pros:
nice look
long batter life
tons of music
pleny of good earphone/bud options if you dont like ipods earbud
durable
cons:
no external memory
no external batter
you have to baby it because of the screen
scroll wheel either moves too fast or too slow
i paid an arm an a leg and then the touch screen cam out ! lol
search is kind hard
converting video almost isnt worth the time
Customer Review: THE NEW IPOD IS GREAT! Summary: 5 Stars
This is my first ipod.
I always have had a regular 1 giga mp3 player and I was ok with it.
But three weeks ago, a friend of mine turned up with the new ipod classic (6º generation) and told it was 80 giga for just 240 euros. And I thought "That's interesting". Then he show me the new cover flow interface...which is stunning...at that moment i knew I was also gonna get one.
Now that I have i just can say that "absolutely love it". Its huge capacity allow me to put all my music library in it and browse through the albums easily with the mentioned beautifully crafted cover flow mode.
I think the design is also great. I have the black one and looks great. I don't get any of the complains on the reviews. The wheel works perfectly smooth on mine. And now this ipod is so much thinner, just in case you didn't notice!
If you already have an ipod video, you probably won't need to upgrade to this version. But if you don't have and Ipod, go get it right now!!! It's well worth the money!!!
Customer Review: Neat product Summary: 5 Stars
I like almost everything about this product. I wish the battery life were a little longer. I love that it is lightweight and holds my ENTIRE CD collection (which is not small by any means).
I'm not a big fan of the fact that one must play defense when syncing new songs/videos to it. It is rather easy for someone who isn't paying attention to accidentally and permanently erase all the content from the iPod (or rather from iTunes and subsequently the iPod), and that particularly sucks if one has transferred all one's CDs to the iPod/iTunes and then sold/tossed out the original CDs. You gotta be careful!
What's also neat is that the iPod comes with a pre-loaded trivia game. The movie trivia game has a few errors in it (text, not program) but the MUSIC trivia game is pretty cool in that the clues and questions are about the songs in your iPod library. You are being quizzed on how well you know your favorite music! Pretty neat!
Customer Review: A GREAT machine Summary: 5 Stars
Look folks, its easy. Just download Itunes, upload your music and plug in this fantastic player.
I bought this in 2007 as a gift to myself before I started college, I dropped it, and its fine. No parts moving, or damaged. Other than normal wear and tear, this is a great, heavy, sturdy mp3 player.
my only gripe is that it does not have a radio, BUT... its so reliable and well built. I didn't have to reset it (with the two top buttons) until 2.5 years after I bought it You can't go wrong with this. Easy software, easy setup with the classic ipod look. I'm going to be using this until it blows up.
also has excellent battery life and durability.
Say what you will about other players having more features, itunes/ ipod classic is consistent and easy to use. No fuss with this baby
seriously recommend this, in the newer models (more memory), but 80 GB is plenty for me.
