I've used this little keyboard for only one day and once again I'm reminded why I own Apple computers...This is not generic and as usual Apple gives you something that is functional and fits seamlessly with their minimalist design.
I can use this in more desk positions and I never used the number pad anyway and I like eliminating wires whenever possible.Also,I don't get the negatives on this beautiful design unless you need the number pad for a specific application.If it eats batteries then that could be a problem but I've heard nothing to indicate that it will,and it powers down on its own when not in use.So,why not go minimalist,you'll never go back to a large "clunker" of a keyboard again.

after a few month's use, here is my impression:
(+) seamless syncing with Leopard / Tiger / Vista.
(+) beautiful industrial design. very durable (dropped a few times with no hiccups).
(+) works great. excellent tactile feedback. feel really nice under your fingers. actually better than Macbook & Macbook Pro keyboard in my opinion.
(+) very small (same layout/size as Macbook). save space on your desk.
(+) no problem with lack of numerical keypad. no use for it anyway unless you're an accountant.
this is a very nice keyboard, much better than the others that I have been using. wireless bluetooth connectivity is very nice.

This is a great keyboard, it saves so much space, is so comfortable to use, is very well built and it very high quality. The keyboard is aluminium and very durable, the keys are very comfortable and well placed and spaced on the board, it is beyond easy to set up with your mac or windows based machine, just put in the batteries, push the power button your your pretty much done. The look of the keyboard is very stylish and goes perfectly with any mac and saves so much room for pc users using MS, HP, or Logitech keyboards that take up over half the desk. I bought one for my iMac a few weeks ago, and now I'm buying another for my MacBook Pro. Most of all, I like the compact size and Apple's confident decision to leave off the annoying numeric keypad and other keys that would keep me from putting my mouse right where it belongs, within easy reach. Keep it up, Apple! Don't give in to the whiners who insist on bloated keyboards that monopolize your desk space. They can always buy the wired keyboard, after all.
Apart from the compact size, I also like the design and tactile performance. I can type fast and accurately, with less fatigue than the older Apple keyboard designs.

Apple products are a little expensive but they are worth it. It looks very elegant. Save a lot of space. Was very fast to setup. It has long range, I even use it to play Guitar Hero on my Macbook Pro and use it as a real guitar. The reason I needed the keyboard was to protect my Macbook Pro at work from stains when you use the keybaord for a long time, my wrist and part of my arms sweat because of the heat. Also, if you use a watch or bracelets you might scratch it. The best thing abouthe keyboard is the battery life. I use the keyboar about 50 hours a week and the batteries that came in with the keyboard have lasted for more than 5 months!
