When I received my product, I thought it would be the adapter as shown. To my surprise, I received the adapter AND the cord. Maybe the cord isn't that expensive, but for the price I paid I hardly expected more than an adapter. It probably is fake, because it's so cheap. I knew that possibility going in. But it didn't matter to me because it was only like $2 when I bought it. It works so I have no complaints!
